Actually, I KINDA know where he's coming from. When I was a young'un, I went through a period where I didn't like the way peanut butter smelled. I may have overcome that on my own, but one Saturday my brother and his friend chased me through the house, held me down, and smeared peanut butter under my nose. I finally overcame this when I had sinus surgery in my mid-20s, effectively turning off both my sense of taste and sense of smell. As I healed, she started feeding me things that had small amounts of PB, usually with chocolate, so I began to associate the two tastes as my sense of taste returned. Now I love the stuff, esp. mixed with Nutella.

There’s something just wonderful about this accent. Like they can say stuff that I would find annoying in any other accent, but here I’m charmed and amused.
