Would be interesting to see how the new 900 series that *finally* has mapping would do. The relatively scatterbrained cleaning method on these and their price is why I went with a Neato.

If you think about it, a robot vac like this can definitely be a big help in keeping dirt to a minimum in a home. It can reduce the amount of dirt every day while the owner is away at work or school. It could never replace a full-size vacuum. But it could help reduce the frequency per month that you have to use the big machine. Certainly visually, it can help keep a home looking cleaner with no extra effort on the part of the user other than emptying the canister daily.

You could have weigh the bin when it was empty and weigh it after it was filled up 🤦🏻‍♂️

Still, I can't wait to put my hands on one of these

Nice the way you did it, with a scale, but you did not mention the time, the length of time it spent cleaning

It did alright, but roomba’s cleaning program is so chaotic. It would make more sense to weave vs going all different directions like a nervous mouse.

Me again, you know, I have this bizarre idea of wanting to see a couple of these things run around in your living room at the same time. 😊

The Roomba's performance was far superior to the Miele. What makes it more impressive is that unlike the Miele the Roomba operates so randomly yet still cleans better. It's disappointing that it didn't do so well in the kitchen. I know it did have to cope with the table and chairs being in it''s way, even so I thought it should have cleaned under the table.

I was a little surprised that you uploaded this so soon because you had said the we shouldn't expect to see the demo for about a week or two.

Why is it mine does not dock when it’s low in power? I find my rooomba on floor dead and my living area is not a size of a mansion

I think Irobot is only good for people who hate vacuum or don´t have time at all to do that. One friend of mine has one and as he has 3 dogs normally he has to vacuum after the irobot has done it, because of missed several spots, it didn't climb carpets or de deposit is not big enough for so much dirt. It doesn't vacuum stairs, sofas or pillows. But if really you are one of that persons who hate vacuums and have loads of money to spend, go ahead, is better than nothing.

your video gets a thumbs up from me but not the robot. you have to clean up after the robot, so what is the point of spending money on this . I'd rather buy 2 shark vacuum cleaners. thank you for the demo though sir.

I can't see the attraction in the roomba with its random motion, hoping to get full coverage but going over same spots 20 times yet other spots zero times. Smart navigation like neato and samsung powerbot and LG are a much better way to go.

Well that was a waste of time. The worst thing about vacuum cleaning is the noise. I wanted to see how noisy the Roomba was. If you need loud music to cover it up, I guess it's not for me.

So, looks like algorithm is strange, it is not learn a square of your room. It goes where it want to. Maybe for carpet cleaning, but 80% accuracy. For this money better bye Dyson new model orb
