I drive a forklift for a living and they have a brutal existence. Usually, one guy finishes a shift, then the next guy gets on and the fork just keeps working. When they finally wear out, they are the most miserable pieces of machinery you can find. Mind you, us forklift operators are no works of art, either. Liked the footage from in the DeLorean. Cool car.

I like these sorts of vids, and the overall view of how things run at Iron Trap. Lost my dad about five years ago at 97. He had a long life, and it was his time to leave, but I still miss him! Treasure your father while you have him!

We used to live in the UK and I was always impressed with what huge car nuts- and skilled restorers- they are. That track T is in very good hands, I'm sure.

The plans are to get the steering, brakes sorted and floor pans fitted. I don't want to mess with the soul of the car. Have a look at VHRA racing at Pendine on the net, the Track T will be very much at home there.

Great video. Love that you share it. Whatever keeps you smiling, usually vibes with mine. Do hope the '38 gets an ITG version of a nicer paint job. Even if plastic sheeting hung from a dirty garage, and lacquer "shit in paint" happens. 😂😂 Would make a great video .. because of course THAT'S about aa "back in the day" that it gets. 👍👍

Exciting to see the track T loaded and on its way to the south west of the UK. I hope to get it to Pendine with the Flat 6. They actually race on the beach, been many times to spectate. I too had watched in awe as the track T was found and taken back to PA, I was sooo jealous, when I heard it was for sale on the podcast I knew i wanted to try and give it a good home. The plans are to get the steering, brakes sorted and floor pans fitted. I don't want to mess with the soul of the car.

I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on the '38 roadster dash. In pre primer state it looks really smooth. It will add to the custom look of the car. It is really coming along nicely. That trunk however is going to be a bear. Again you'll just have to buck up and put the time in to smooth it out. It will be a smooth car when completed. Keep the vision and power through the hard work. I enjoyed a week of Iron Trap. Thanks for posting it.

Might want to mention "check to see that KZfaq hasn't "un-subscribed" you from the channel like they did me. I have been subscribed since you was working for Eastwood and doing "buy/sell" competitions with Mike (I'm another electrician) and constantly watch your videos yet I found that I was no longer subscribed. ;o( Couldn't help thinking of the "Costco Hot Dog" seeing that image of the Track T all wrapped up for shipping !! ;o) So, you sent my "banger" to England ?? Hope the guy has a YT channel !! ;o)

What we have here is these machines are purchased from the manufacturer in a new condition in that they are to be used as a forklift and not as a constant maintenance headache. When they get worn to a point where they are out of service and cannot perform properly the wise outfits replace them with new equipment (and we must also understand that these new purchases can be written off on taxes as well, it is what the government has in our tax system to stimulate money circulating in the economy, by giving companies the incentive to purchase new equipment). Of course this used equipment is cycled through the economy to those people who need such a piece of equipment but cannot afford new. The trade off of course is that the purchaser of used equipment had better be resolved to fix many worn issues, and sometimes the cost of said repairs can exceed the cost of a new piece of equipment. In Iron Trap's situation they are getting to the point where it is advisable to buy new or at least a good used modern piece of equipment rather than spending time repairing a piece eveytime they need to use it.
