Cinnamon Tea hello started iron working last year with a non union company. Sunset steel erectors. Still learning a lot. Cousins are in 433. How’d you get started with the apprenticeship! Eventually I wanna apprentice too! That’s so bad ass! Stay safe out there!

This is nice. I work roofing alone and sometimes i bring stuff up like cooler or i put vent on a net and pull it up insted of carrieng it this knot will make it easier to tie up stuff to pull up. Thanks

How about a bowling on the bite or a sheepshank. Or a scaffold hitch. Or an equalizing bowline?? I guess it all depends on where you do your apprenticeship in the country.

Local 584 (Tulsa, OK) is $17.50 for apprentices just starting off, you get 3 raises your first year, then 2 raises your second and third year. Then you’ll become a Journeyman and their starting pay is $25 an hour. If you have stick welding certs it’s an extra 75 cents an hour, and a extra $1.50 an hour if you have Flux Core certs. Foreman make $27. If your company is good they’ll pay you more, this is just the minimum pay required by my Union

Local 1 Chicago starts at $29.30. Raises every 6 months & only 3 year apprenticeship. Journeyman makes $48.83
