I had the 7 plus in 128gb and I mean it when I say that it wasn’t enough. I did basically everything on my phone and I took a lot of videos and screenshots. I had to delete files and videos a lot and it was annoying. So I did the same as you and now I’m on an iPhone 13

Yess, i have the iphone 7+, 32gb. Storage is a pain, but im upgrading to the 13 pro max and even if i decide to go for the base model, it will still be such a huge difference

7 user here, going for 14 Pro next year. The Pro Max seems too big and heavy for me. 256GB may be a safe choice.

I’m going from an iPhone 7 with 32gb to this one I get so annoyed when my current phone says full storage ! I’ve just got happy after clearing up 800mb ! The storage was that full and I couldn’t load up any apps to message anyone or get in touch with work ! It’s more than enough storage 🥰

I think an average user will be really happy with 128GB model. It's good that apple discontinued 64GB.

I’ve had a 64GB iPhone 8 Plus since 2019 and since I take somewhat a lot of photos and now have the “storage almost full” message popping up. When I upgrade, 128GB will definitely be my option as I plan to go travelling soon and take a lot of photos and 64GB just won’t cut it for me. I have a few apps like twitch, KZfaq, onedrive, a few games etc. 2 years ago 64GB was the perfect choice for me but now in 2021 it’s not enough and I definitely would like more storage 🙂

I do hope you have a backup of your 6TB drive. If that ever goes or gets lost or stolen, then there goes all of your precious memories. iCloud storage does make a good backup. If you are a prime member then all of your photos do get backed up for free, but not videos. It is a great backup tool if you are already an amazon prime member.

I have an iPhone 7 128GB for more than 4 years now & honestly rn it’s enough for me. I put my photos on my laptop every month, saving the most important on my phone & I’m ready to go. Since I only have 2Gb of ram, heavy apps usually don’t work on that phone but when I will upgrade, I think I’ll go for the 256gb for comfort

If your aim is to get a new phone and keep it for 4-5 years or more I’d say 128gb isn’t enough anymore. Apps are gonna continue to get bigger as well as system configurations. If you’re going for the 13’s they’re gonna be supported for 6-7 years at least. If you wanna keep it that full time and not have to worry about increasing storage demands id go with 256gb at least.

@@jinessjung3087 I don’t think you can, short of trading it in for a 256gb. I wouldn’t worry too much if you can’t. 128gb should see you okay for 2-3 years (at least) if you’re an average kind of user. If you do exceed your limit you could used the iCloud to store stuff (you can pay a monthly fee for more space if required and I don’t think it’s too expensive). There’s also the Google drive which is similar to iCloud and you can save stuff on there for free.

@@deusvultpictures6550 Na, I wouldn’t say you’re fucked! It’ll be good for at least 2-3 years for the average user. Might struggle past 5 years or so but it all depends on your usage and how long you plan on keeping the phone. For most folks 128gb will be absolutely fine for 3 years or so.

64GB is NOT enough - I made that mistake getting the iPhone 11 Pro. If you have rich media on your phone and it will add up in a year. I’m upgrading to iPhone 13 128GB at least

For me 256gb above just impractical. The possibility to phone system get crash is high. Iphone with 128gb with 80gb+ memory use already takes to much time to calculating category sizes.

Got the iPhone 13 Pro 128 GB last month and I’m only using 28 GB of storage with all the apps and photos on my phone. Not to mention I have and an iPad and a MacBook both have over 250 GB so I’m good with photos/videos. It’s really about self managing your storages 💯.

the 64gb isn't enough for me. I had Iphone XR and I am switching to 13 PRO but not 64 gb anymore. I decided to get the 256 GB because I take pictures and videos a lot. :) I really dislike deleting videos just to have enough space so I hope 256 will be enough haha

If you like taking pictures, videos, gaming, downloading music and have a decent workflow that consist of papers, editing, emails 1tb is going to do it and going to hold you for a long time. NOW, it is good to try to keep junk at a minimum but that shouldn’t have to cone down to a point you HAVE to delete or else you can’t continue.

Bro! I am switching from Iphone 6 straight to the 13 pro max! It's already on it's way! I have ran across a few storage issues along the way with the 6 model, but for the most part I've managed pretty well! I don't have much use of alot of apps as the average Iphone user.

iPhone 11 64gb user with almost all of my storage being used, thinking about getting 256gb iPhone 13 pro because I had to delete 900 pictures and all of my conversations to be under 64gb 😭 I use my phone for photos, social media, messages, school apps (docs, word, ebooks). I’m upgrading because I want that bigger space and a better battery (battery health is 88% 😒) and it’s only been 2 years :(

Currently I have used almost all my 256gb on my iPhone 11 Pro, but when I look at what’s using that space, 200 gb of it is my ridiculous photo and video library. I am now downloading all that content on my pc year by year, then I intend to delete the whole photos library. Later, I can just add selected photos to streamline my phone’s library and so 128gb will probably be my next choice. Having more space just makes you lazy and store more junk.

I also went from a 256GB iPhone 11 Pro Max to a 128GB iPhone 12 Pro. I only used around 60-64GB on both phones and when I upgraded my phone, they told me to just go with 128GB as I only used about a quarter on the 11 Pro Max. Using only around 59GB rn on my 12 Pro. But I also have a 256GB iPad Air 4, and storage is the same way on that.

I wasn't sure if should go 64 or 256gb for iPad mini, i play games/record clips, draw and do work. I plan to keep the iPad for 2 years plus as i will buy apple care. Buy 50gb of iCloud if i buy 64 gb model. Any suggestions

@@Borex2 I’d say if you record a lot of clips and do plenty of productivity work, 256GB would be what I’d go with. The Mini does now have a USB C port, so you can use external storage to transfer clips and drawings off of your iPad as another option for backup, too. But then again, 50GB of iCloud storage is 99 cents a month, so I don’t think you can go wrong with either or.

I’m planning to upgrade from 7+ 128gb, i had to empty up storage more than 3 times in the past 2 years, it made me not like using my phone much and i miss looking back at old photos :(, most storage intake wasn’t always photos tho it was a split between apps and photos, but I’m still hesitant on the space it’s a big amount of money for a phone that wouldn’t last than 6 years at best, specially that apple is always late with their features upgrades compared to other phones

Weeell, I’m proud to say that I’ve been using my 16GB 5S the last nine years and prior to that, my Sony T-100. I’m a simple user. I surf, read online news, listen to online radio, watch KZfaq, and play select games. I’m not much of a photographer. However, as with everything, wear and tear and age have taken their toll. From quick battery drainage to charging difficulty to lack of storage space to inability to update apps due to older software version (12.5.5). Having said all this, I believe that the 5S is by far the finest phone Apple’s designed. If I had to use one adjective to describe the 5S, it would be, “Reliable”. I’m considering the 13 mini (256GB) as my next phone for two reasons, namely for its size AND because Apple has announced that the mini phone version will be discontinued and no longer available. Sadly, there’ll be no 14 mini. Thank you 🙏

I have an iPhone 8 with 64gb of storage. I’m planning on getting the new iPhone se to replace it and I couldn’t decide whether to go 128 or 256gb. I have about 64gb of stuff on iCloud and it’s a pain when I want to watch a video or look at photos that won’t load when I don’t have wifi or cell service available. I’m kinda leaning towards the 256gb option. Then I won’t have to worry about it at all and then I can cancel my iCloud subscription.

I Just went from iPhone 11 64gs to iPhone 13 256gbs, I was struggling BAD with 64gs considering I take a lot of pictures and make TikToks etc, decided to skip 128gb because i plan on having this baby for a while and refuse to live with worries about my memory so I went all out, even thought about getting 512 but I think I’ll save that for my next upgrade in about 2-3 years, If your a heavy user go with no less then 256gs, I’d rather have more then enough then to not have enough and worry about storage, the feeling SUCKS I’ve lived through it well enough to know.

Tbh it really depends on the person using it. If you're a heavy gamer and wants to play a lot of games on the phone also taking pictures, videos at 4k 256gb would be the best for you in terms of saving up money. With 128 it should be enough if your just going to stream videos, music taking normal resolution of pics and videos.

my 13 pro max 256gb is on its way im excited! im coming from 8 plus 64gb btw. i was torn between getting the 128 or 256 (i play lots of games, have huge offline spotify playlists, take lots of pics, and have tons of files for school) but ive been waiting for so long for my country to have stocks of 128 with my prefered color but they still dont til now so when i found a certified reseller with 256 i grabbed the chance lol even tho its a little out of my budget. but i figured since i was struggling with the 64 maybe the 256 will be a better fit for me cuz i will have more extra space in case the 128 wont be enough in the long run lol im watching iphone 13 vids cuz im that damn excited

Omg I have 8 plus with 64 gb rn and I’m watching this to see which one I should get. I don’t play lots of games and I don’t download stuff like files and music so I’m still not sure if I need 256. But again I’m planning on using this phone for at least 3 years so I’m afraid I’ll have to suffer with storage full again 😂

@@shrek4972 if u dont play games and download big files i think u dont need the 256gb but hey u know urself more than i do haha. but if u got the money to spare then go for the 256 why not? haha to help u have an idea ill list down what i have in my 256gb that i got 4 days ago. ive used 44gb total so far. 1. downloaded 58 apps (excluding apple apps like imovie, numbers, etc) 2. got 1.7k in my camera roll taking up 1.21gb (idk why it’s a low number maybe bc i havent taken new photos and the media i have rn is from icloud) 3. spotify with 1,744 songs downloaded for offline listening. took up 633mb 4. ive got call of duty, pubg mobile and pubg new state, and genshin impact. total of 5.5gb (and other more games but theyre small ones) idk if it will be a fair comparison but my sister has an iphone 11 128gb and she got it last aug 2020 and she also downloads alot of apps, huge games, and music like me and she has used like 102gb so far with the latest ios. she got like 7k in her camera roll too idk what else to describe hahah but u see i download alot of stuff cuz i play and edit but if u dont need those, i do think 128 is enough. i think it will have enough space for future ios updates too. i hope this helped!! 😊

i’m using 256gb pro rn, after 12 months of usage i still have 50gb free space on my iphone, my point is nowadays storages under 256gb is not sufficient for a person, when you decide to spend hundreds of dollars on your phone it’s better to be a little bit futuristic

Personally, I should have bought the 256GB iPod touch 7 sooner as opposed to just last month when I ran low low on storage for my 32GBmodel I bought for my birthday. Anyways, I'm looking to buy either a max storage (256GB) 12 or 12 mini or a mid storage (256GB) 13 mini.

@@shauncameron8390 apparently you are up to the small size phones but you should know that iphone 12 mini is a notoriously bad due to insanely fast battery draining, and 13 mini is not far behind that. because of that i think the base 12 model is a good choice😀

Question. Can I have my photos and videos stored on my phone as well as backed up to iCloud. So in other words I can watch a video instantly on my phone without it downloading from iCloud and also have it backed up if I lose my phone ??

128 gb is perfect for me. I upgraded from an iPhone 7 with 128. My iPad only has 32 gb and I’m always struggling with the storage on that thing.

@@georgequra3422 For me, I'd go 256gb just to be safe, but if you don't think you'll be using that much storage, maybe save money with the 128. I do recommend going for more storage than less though. Good lukc w/ your new phone!

If you're planning on shooting 4k Videos then go for the 256+ GB options. 4k Takes up a lotta space. Went on a vacation for 5 days and used up 50% of my 256GB storage.

After almost 7 years I am finally upgrading my iPhone. I currently have a 32gb iPhone 6S and I have 27,8gb used hahaha it is painful since I have to delete my messages and offload my photos every year. I think I'll do well with an iPhone 12 128gb.

Jumping 6s to 13 base with 128gb, honestly I’m not really taking photos maybe playing maybe like 4 or so games on it, mostly watching videos and call/texting on the most part mine comes in tommorow on Tuesday. Also my 6s is 16gb don’t know how I lasted so long with it lol

I want to buy an iphone 13 soon but i cant decide between 256 gb and 512 gb. I want to send all my pictures i have on this current phone to my new phone. So from the get go i will have used around 35 GB on my new phone (bc thats how much storage i use for pics/videos on my current phone). I also want to be able to use my new phone for around 5 years, i dont want to upgrade after 2 years immediately like most people. I see a new iphone as an investment so i want to make use of it for a long time, comfortably. Will i still have enough if i buy 256 or should i really go for 512? Someone give me advice plss

Bro i have a 16gb iphone 6! could you imagine in 2021 and also imma music producer/dj so i have a loooooot of photos and memories im struggling a so much but what i do of all of those photos is backing up on google but its also gives me free of 15gb of storage so i have couple of different accounts for it damn. Just imagine having a iphone 6 with 16gb as right now in 2021. im livin' it man! but yeah im trying to get iphone 12 with 256gb man i gotta have to save a lot of money and don't have to spent money for 4or5 months the next these months are going to be the pain but if i didn't did it i definately regret about it!
