If you're wondering if breaking in a new motorcycle is necessary, this video is for you! We'll discuss the importance of breaking in your new Harley Davidson for optimal engine performance.
Come for a ride with me while I think about the break-in restrictions that Harley Davidson recommends for a new 2024 Harley Davidson Road Glide. This is Vlog #49 and, while I am no mechanic, I talk openly (maybe stupidly) about how I think about the break-in period and restrictions.

Regardless of the manufacturing process it is very highly recommended to follow the break in so rings can seat properly and what not. That is my non technical opinion

I've only had the one brand new bike and it's the nicest thing I've ever owned... so I plan to baby it as instructed.

I follow the break in from the manufacturer. And every bike I have had Has had the Same name “the bike “ I don’t call it a she or name it. That’s just me

I actually love the way you were thinking and there is a part of me that wants to think the same way but then there is a different part of me that can’t think that way so I’m breaking the motor in. Thank you for your comment. Thanks for watching always ride safe.

@@jst_moto I've heard that these engines get revved up pretty good on the trip through the factory and at the dealerships, I can't verify that but I can believe it. I've got a new Breakout and I don't rip on it that hard but I'm not babying it either and I don't think that's going to cause me any problems.

@@JoeSmith-nu8oo I agree!! I know I rode the hell out of mine during the test ride. But then babied it for a week and a half until I broke 500.
