The videos should help anyone whether working on a cafe racer build or a full-on original restoration. I'm definitely not an expert so please refer to your manuals for proper disassembly and assembly instructions. Please leave comments if you have any questions. I'll be happy to help answer questions if I can confidently provide solutions. Again, I'm not a professional. This is my 2nd Honda motorcycle restoration and I'm learning every single day. I'd love to hear your tips if you have better ways to do things. I hope you find the series useful and entertaining. I strive to show as much detail as possible so that the videos can be used as not only a how-to resource but also a reference for the placement and original set up of parts and systems. If you don't have one already please get a manual for your specific project. There are many available online for download for free. Keep on wrenching, Your support is extremely appreciated. THANK YOU!

FYI it works in your cars radiator. If you buy like an older vehicle, I have a 1997 Chevy truck the heater core was just ungodly backed up with rust and if you looked in the radiator, it was just rust like you wouldn’t believe I don’t have the money to buy all new stuff so a good friend of mine Told me about CLR and I’ve never really used it my life. I know what it is just never used it and he told me to dump the entire thing in my radiator after I flushed it a few times and then drive around for a couple of days and then flush it again, he said repeat this process until your flushing out. Nothing but clear distilled water. And only use distilled water and it works perfectly.

Nice looks great, bought some today to use for my stainless steel exhaust pipe with a little surface rust on it and this vid made me feel a little better about the purchase.

Just tried this last night on one of the 2 pipes on my XS2, worked great! I also plan on wrapping the exhaust due to so much of the chrome just being gone. Probably will do some rust converter over the top of it real quick just to keep anything from happening underneath the wrap.

That CLR aint no joke. Looks good brian. I just emptied a container i had some white vinagar and rusty screws bolts washers differant types of metal several small things in Just to give it a shot. They were in for about a month. They came out great. I was going to throw them away if i hadnt of done this. I have a 6 inch old bench vise a nice older lady gave to me after i helped her clean out her farm house. I plan on leaving it sit in a bucket with the vinagar for a few months over the winter. That will look great after words.

I am kind of surprised that the method I use for cleaning rust off of chrome is not used more often, unless there is something I am missing. The method I use is aluminum foil and water. You just fold up a sheet of aluminum foil, dip it in water and rub the rust off like you are using sandpaper. I never really see any damage to the chrome with this method.

It does work but not my fav method. Can’t get passed the nails on chalkboard feeling. I did a video comparing a bunch of methods. There’s always many ways to the same end goal. It totally works tho! Here’s that video. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y996eZyBypO6pqM.html thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the vids!
