The sand idea, while in execution was unable to provide much resistance, in an actual fight would cause a lot of issues with ground stability and speed loss so I also thought that was an interesting attempt too, at least if the sand area were big enough. I imagine how unbearable a fight in a Sahara desert like place would be (if you’re melee in any capacity at least).

Am I dumb? 30ft movement. Then one 5ft section changes to the cost of 10ft. So of the 6 5ft zones. One of those zones costs 10ft, so 1x10ft and 4x5ft = 30ft, but split into 5 5ft sections meaning you should move 25ft if one 5ft area is difficult (like the incredibly harrowing Grace world destroyer)

Your math on the creature spaces is a bit off- the creature’s space would take 10 ft of movement, and there would still be 20 ft left over, but that would be 20 ft on top of the 5 ft space, for 25 ft total (instead of 20 ft). Loved the video!

Interrupted, fairly appropriately, by an ad that started with "Meanwhile, in a forest not far away..." (or something like that). Looks like you had fun.

@@BobWorldBuilder If I may make a suggestion for a possible future video. Jumping height/distance to demonstrate just how insanely far someone is able to leap with magical buffs as compared to a normal human jump.

I would love to see a video on throwing and jumping. Can a character with only average strength REALLY jump that much further if they take a running start? Also, an episode about mixing movements would be super fun. Can you still go 15 feet in six seconds if you start from prone? If I have a climbing speed and a walking speed, can I scale this wall then walk along the top? I’d love to see more. Keep it up!
@BobWorldBuilder
@BobWorldBuilder 3 жыл бұрын
Haha jumping is next as part of a video on STR scores! And we already have a video on standard movement that covers moving from prone :)

Another great one guys! Really enjoying the dynamic between all of you. Well placed ad even lol. Perhaps an encumbrance video? Or a ranged weapon effective distance video (I feel like it would have to involve a 3rd party, and might take away from the allure)? I know you guys will keep making these, well, I hope you will. Do not deny us the DnD science!
@BobWorldBuilder
@BobWorldBuilder 3 жыл бұрын
I definitely want to try ranged weapons because I have some background in archery. And encumbrance might be on the way too! The next one is testing our STR scores, and now that we have them, we could potentially revisit movement with encumbrance in mind!

Going waaay off topic here, but I'm super fucking envious of Grace and Bob's hair. Y'all are majestic as fuck~. I've been growing mine out for like a year and a half now and it's barely past my shoulders.

Haha, well Grace's has reached like terminal limits because it no longer seems to grow, and I'm probably going to keep mine where it's at because long hair can be annoying, but growing it out is a fun journey! Stay strong!
