This arc is really a testament to Araki's writing. Not only did the game of cat and mouse reset itself in an interesting way, But i also dont want Kira to get caught. Part 4 is really good that way.

Also, about people being able to see Stray Cat even if they aren't Stand Users: There are Bound Stands, Stands that are bound to objects, letting normal people perceive them. Strength, the boat Stand was one of them, as it was actually bound to a tiny boat and made massive. Likewise, Wheel Of Fortune, the car stand from Part 3 is another, as it was bound to a rundown car and turned into a supercar. Yukako's hair, Love Delux, is another. Her Stand is bound to her hair, allowing her to control it, and letting other people see her do the weird shit that she does with it. Ebony Devil, the stand that possessed the puppet in the hotel that Polnareff fought also was a Bound Stand. If you can remember the fight, you see Devo the Cursed summon his stand after Polnareff attacks him, before it flies into the puppet and becomes Bound to it. There are more, but I'm not sure if you've witnessed them yet since I don't use Patreon. Though, I think I remember you're up to Part Five, so that means that you've seen the transmission tower Stand Superfly, also a Bound Stand, possessing the tower. TL;DR: Bound Stands are Stands with physical forms either taken over and manipulated by Stands or directly are physical things already. Stray Cat is essentially bound to the plant, meaning normal people can see it.

the reason the ship could be seen isn't because it was so powerful, avdol was just incorrect. that was an anime only error. in the manga, he just simply says the ship must be a stand, nothing about why it could be seen. the real reason it could be seen is because the stand was bound to a none stand object. if you remember, when jotaro defeats him, it shrinks into a small normal boat. that's the same reason anubas could be seen. because the original user who formed the sword, literally put his soul(stand)into it. and just like anubas and the boat stand, stray cat is bound to a none stand thing. the cats stand(soul) is possessing the plaint. that's why it can be seen by anyone.

Stands can be whatever Araki needs them to be, really. Their usually a floaty dude behind the Stand-User, but they can also be abilities of the Stand-User too. It's just super rare. Stands are plot devices, they don't have a hard science behind them, like Chakra in Naruto or Bending in Avatar: The Last Air Bender.

If you guys are looking for a new show or even just a weird show to react to, you should watch Dorohedoro. The fights are fire, all the songs are bangers, most of the women are built like brick-shit-houses, the general aesthetic look like late-90's Hot Topic threw up on the cover of a metal album, the protagonists are just as hardcore as the antagonists, the antagonists are just as delightful as the protagonists, the dub is good for a Netflix dub (however the Japanese VA for one of the main characters is Okuyasu), the food looks like it came out of Food Wars, it's legitimately funny, the characters have great chemistry, and it's a legitimately good story so far.

Now that I rewatch this, this situation is VERY similar to the horror movie Pet Cemetery...

Some stands are considered "physical" that can be seen and interacted with by non stand users, its literally just down to 'part of their stand ability is literally breaking the rules of stand abilities' like swarm stands (shigetchi) and other things (thats later on though) breaks the rule of 'you can only have one stand' as a literal part of its power. which I mean I guess comes with upsides and downsides. swarm stands tend to be weak, physical stands tend to be strong in power but vulnerable. Remote stands (sheer heart attack) are another example, breaking the rule of 'the stronger a stand is the lower its range' but their downside is they tend to be really dumb or hard to control. with jojos somtimes its just best to accept that anything established is more general guidelines than hardcoded rules. like.. fuck later on there is a remote stand that literally breaks the remote stand rule of being dumb. and that in itself is literally its own power with its own unique drawbacks and strengths, the show is crazy.

Okay so I know I'm really late, but basically stands can be perceived by non-stand users if the stand is fused with or is acting as a coat over something normally visible. For example, Strength was turning a shitty little ship into the massive ship, Wheel of Fortune was turning a tiny little buggy into a sportscar, and Stray Cat probably is fused with a flower that grew over its grave. Basically, this Stand has 3 parts to it: 1. Production and control of air bubbles 2. Stand manifests by fusing to a regular flower, possibly any kind of plant, that has seeds on the stand user's corpse. It may also work if something ate Stray Cat. If a plant can become the stand by sucking up the corpse for nutrients, then it stands to reason that if a cow ate the flower, for example, the stand would fuse with the cow. 3. The user's consciousness transfers along with the Stand into whatever the Stand inhabits.

She could see it because it's a Stand bounded to something. The boat that the pedo ape have is also BOUNDED to a normal every day object, so normal people could see it. The Anubis sword it's the same, the Stand energy was bounded to the sword, Iggy's sand is the same (although he can summon sand from thin air, but then it's just like a regular Stand and normal people can't see it, only if he uses the sand of the place he is). Avdul was wrong when he said "it's so strong normal people can see it", he didn't even knew people could name their Stands with a name not related to tarot.

The plant itself is visible. It is a physical object. how it functions and it’s abilities are the stand. Like how surface can possess manakins but has a separate personality. This is just the first instance of stand being shown to activate after ones death as a condition. So with all of this in mind, the cat kind of got reincarnated into a plant.

My take is that Stray Cat's stand is activated on death and the Stand manifests merged with it's user, making him a self-sufficient Stand, like Anubis. You brought up the idea of cats having nine lives and I never thought of that. I like the idea that that's why a cat's stand is death activated, keeping it alive. What if Stray Cat dies again?
