This is my story: I’m a black 19 year old male. I’m 6’2 and well built. I used to play football and do weightlifting. Then about a year ago I started to feel less and less energy. This got worse and worse for about 8 months until one day I felt this TERRIBLE fatigue. If you’ve clicked on this video you probably know what this type of fatigue feels like. Almost like someone is SUCKING the life out of you. I lost so much weight and looked like a cancer patient. I experienced IBS symptoms and thought I had colon cancer. I had bone aches all over. As always my doctors didn’t know what the hell was wrong and would just dismiss is as anxiety. I got my blood tested and my vitamin D was 35. I immediately self diagnosed and took 20,000iu + magnesium a day. When I tell you I felt superhuman. I went on a run for the first time in a YEAR. And felt invincible. I ran out of pills and dropped to 4,000iu and felt the fatigue again. What I learned: If you’re deficient you’re probably going to need at least 10,000iu + K2 and magnesium to maintain healthy levels. Also if other serious health issues have been ruled out you’ll need to be patient as it takes a while to get better. Avoid looking on the internet about symptoms which could increase anxiety. Hope this helped. Ps. Within a month I grew an inch in height after supplementing 🫣

Takeaways: 1. Every single cell in the body has receptors for vitamin D and there is no evidence of vitamin D deficiency. 2. All people have vitamin D deficiency and they have all sort of problems. Arthritis, Depression, Auto immune system, BP, Blood sugar. 3. Vitamin D toxicity is very very rare. 4. Vitamin K2 keeps Calcium from soft tissues. 5. International unit ( iu) it doesn't indicate the weight. You should not consider the absolute number as it is. 10000 iu is also refer very very tiny portion. 6. There are many barriers for Vitamin D absorption like brown skin, insulin resistance, stress, place you live , obese etc... 7. T helper cell in immune system helps to regule in not attacking our own body. 8. Vitamin D helps in these T cells. 9. K2, Mg, Zn should take with Vitamin D. These keep Vitamin D active and reduces toxicity. 10. Increasing Water also prevent Calcium stones. 11. Summary is Taking 10000 iu or more is perfectly fine

They don't even know that 1 "unit" is how much a 10 gram mouse needs to sustain suitable vitamin D blood levels for decent immunity. For an 80kg human, 8000 units is enough to maintain immunity. So yeah, most of the population are vitamin D deficient, taking barely the minimum to stave off Ricketts and such.

When I started taking 10,000 IU of vitamin D3, even with my fair skin, I was able to stay out in the sun for hours instead of burning within 20 minutes! I wish I had known this decades ago and saved myself a lot of sunburn over the years.

That's interesting. I don't use suntan lotion unless I go to the beach and I'm fair skinned. However the beginning of Summer until I get a base tan I do burn a little. I think suntan lotions first of all keep you from getting the natural vitamin D from the sun and also I think they are more of the culprit in skin cancer than exposure to the Sun.

Shared from Dr Berg notes: Today, we’re going to take a look at vitamin D. Every cell and tissue in your body has receptors for vitamin D. However, there is still no medical consensus on what vitamin D deficiency is. Many people are deficient in vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency can negatively affect your immune function and can cause inflammatory conditions like arthritis, autoimmune disease, depression, and high blood pressure. Vitamin D toxicity is very rare. Symptoms of vitamin D toxicity mirror the symptoms of vitamin K2 deficiency. This poses the question-do you have too much vitamin D or just not enough vitamin K2? Vitamin K2 is intricately involved with the transportation of calcium, while vitamin D helps with the absorption of calcium from your gut into your blood. Vitamin K2 keeps calcium out of your soft tissues and strengthens your bones. A lot of the confusion surrounding the RDA of vitamin D has to do with its measurement-international units. An international unit is an arbitrary number agreed on by some committee, and the amount varies from vitamin to vitamin. For example, one international unit of vitamin E is not the same as one international unit of vitamin A. Several factors affect the absorption of vitamin D: •Skin color •Age •Weight •Insulin resistance •Stress level •Genetics •Geographical location •Season •Gut health •Liver health •Gallbladder health or removal Vitamin D is intimately involved in the immune system and plays a crucial role in the function of Helper T cells. Helper T cells prevent our immune systems from harming our own tissues. If you have issues with your Helper T cells, you could potentially develop an autoimmune disease. Adequate intake of vitamin K2, magnesium, and zinc helps keep vitamin D active and prevent vitamin D toxicity. Plenty of water is also very important. Thank you Dr Berg!😺👍

I took 50,000 IUs or more a day for nearly a year. I started taking D3 in early 2018. It corrected acid reflux and bladder leakage over considerable time/years and I had to be consistent. I also ate exclusively meat for nearly 18 months and dropped 85 pounds which healed much as well including inflamed intestines and internal hemorrhoids....by removing toxin held in that extra fat. I regained 1/2 of that weight loss but no longer have bladder leakage. I no longer take 50,000 IUs or any D3 every day. I finally filled up my tank. Now about every 10 to 14 days I take 4,000 or 8,000 IUs of Vitamin D3. I am 68 years when I start swallowing wrong. The sphincters from throat to elimination are affected by the hormone D3...and the throat clearing or slight need to cough are now my indicators. If I ignore that slight indicator, I will get the more annoying one that gives me the urge to pee with just having my hands in warm water.

I take 15000 IU of D3 with 300mcg of K2 for about 7 months now. Feels great..joint pain diminished A LOT !!!! ADDED. magnesium bi glycinate @500mg @NIGHT. AMD zinc @ 2×50mg. Apparently THAT is the most ratio. Will.see. At my age of 70 I learned to listen to my body more respectfully than to my simple-minded GP. Feels right though LOL😅

@@AnalogFlava usually vthe calcium that supposed to be deposited into your bones when you take vitamin D+k & magnesium gets into your arteries. This process doesn't happen overnight. In your case, you probably need to immediately start on adding those supplements with vitamin K2 @ 300 mcg. I'm not a doctor and don't know how clear your arteries are at this point. Wow...Dr. B...First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours! You hit a Home Run on this video. Most talked about issues in my group of 70+ year-olds. We have been told that 800-1000 units of D would suffice. However, you make a great deal of sense. I will have a great deal to talk to my Doctor about this. And, thank you for the Christmas present! I will send off my kit and blood analysis this week! Keep up the great work; you are answering 'behind the know' questions with answers that are not talked about in the Doctor's offices due to patient volume. Now we know what to ask! God Bless you and your family.

@benduckx9367, FYI, I gave my 90 yo mom 5000 IU of D3 with K2, 3 times a week and it helped clear calcium deposits in her aorta. Chest x-rays confirmed the change. I never worried about her breaking a bone even at her age. Our bodies are rebuilding daily. If we provide the right nutrients, our body can heal. Blessings and have a healthy 2024.

Dr. Berg says 100 mcg of K2 (mk7) to 10,000 IU of D3 id the correct ratio! I just saw one of his videos on this a few days ago. I don't have a gall bladder anymore, and just a few years before it was removed I'd had a doctor do some blood tests that showed vitamin D deficiency. They said jyst take a 5,000 IU capsule per day and that's plenty. I wasn't taking K2.. I'd never heard much about it until the pandemic started. I'm also taking a daily multivitamin. I have a score of health conditions.. lots of metal in my body from a car wreck that nearly cut me in half and being overweight doesn't help. But i got sick of my doctor not caring to address any issues.. just keeps adding pills ..my blood pressure medicine wasn't keeping it under control, so he added another and I'm not seeing it helping at all. So I found this KZfaq channel and Dr. Berg was the first I'd ever geard say that if you have no gall bladder, you have poor absorption of things & to take bile salts. I found a probiotic with ox bile that REALLY helps a lot and if I can't find that I take chewable papaya enzyme tablets . Ox bile is better though..which I might add, helped a lot to completely got rid of the bursitis in my elbow!! I was very pleased with that! ***So, thank goodness for you, Dr. Berg!*** ~ I hope you and yours have a very blessed Christmas & New Year, as well as all of your viewers!🙏💜

Thank you again Dr.Berg ! I have followed your videos for years, and have a notebook on different subjects according to your advice and knowledge. This is will more likely be inherited by my children, and I could not even begin to express my gratitude. The last years have been tough and rough with challenges left and right. That lead to me dropping "my system" because i focused on saving people around me. I got sick... ( surprise....) and eventually that also means to fail the same ppl I fight hard to care for ( my children , my husband, my mother). My husband works really hard manual labour, and now has all these symptoms.... When he has pains all over, and feels worried about his health I want to cry and feel scared. And I really can't believe myself because I knew, I knew better all along and let down myself and my better half by not utilizing this knowledge. Ok I did utilize it for many years, but not the last 2 years. At the same time I have don't judge myself too hard because these last 2 yrs were very difficult. Thankfully through hard work, dedication and focus now we have stability. Now it is time to get a grip and utilize the knowledge , and improve our health. I did it before. I did strick and clean keto, combined with intermittent fasting and good supplements, plus regular sleep pattern. I was looking and feeling younger by the weeks, and ppl around me could not believe their eyes. Now I will do it again and by that will help my husband. And it was never possible without your efforts. Without your videos our lives would crumble, that is no understatement. We went to the doctor many times, all they can advice is rest and paracetamol. Nonsense. We are both breadwinners in this family, and our 6 children depend on us, and we depend on each other. Thank you for helping us, and by that also our children, and even our parenst. Bless you.

@@wideawake2I know people who test high D3 but still have symptoms of vitamin d deficiency. And Dr Berg recently explained that genetics have been damaged to the degree that even if there is plenty d3 in the blood, there is not enough where it’s needed in the body. And that the only way to solve the symptoms is to increase d3 (with enough magnesium, zinc, bile, saturated fats, etc.) I’m in that situation and I feel better with much higher amounts of d3.

I have no way of proving that it's not a coincidence, but I believe that this had been the healthiest winter ever for me thanks to eating fresh garlic and ginger every day, as well as taking at least 100 mcg (4000 IU) of Vitamin D3 in olive oil capsules. I'm asthmatic and I usually have a cold at some point in the winter and then a bad cough that lasts for weeks. It seems like everyone's had some kinda cold or flu around me lately, so it's especially surprising for me that I haven't caught anything as of yet! I did have something during the summer so maybe I still have some immunity left, who knows. But any time I've felt a bit under the weather, I've consumed a couple of glovers of garlic and a thumb sized piece of ginger and the shortly after I've been back to normal. 👌🏻 Thank God in the name of Christ for these beautiful natural wonders. 💪🏻

A colleague of mine in the Design industry actually did research on seasonal conditions and he found that D3 isn't absorbed through the skin. Therefore skin color has no effect on D3 absorption. It almost solely environmental factors. He also found that we make D3 in the skin via a chemical reaction to the sun's ray. A Black doctor replicated the study that claims that Black people have lower D3 because of race/skin and found it to be a false claim. There's a lot of misinformation about D3! My chiro says D3 is like a miralce because it can be used to improve so many different ailments that people are afflicted with these days. Maybe that's why they don't want use to know about it.

I am quite surprised that Dr Berg recommends such high amounts without emphasizing enough the need for proper monitoring , as everyone should know their levels of D before taking such high amounts, and then if they do take 10,000 daily with the recommended K2+Mg, that they should retest after say 2 months. We all absorb Vit D at different rates!!!

Dr Berg, can you do a video explaining how to take vitamins and supplements? Is there a benefit to taking them at a certain time of day, can you take them all at the same time together or should some not be mixed with other supplements? If you are a diabetic (T2) how much of each should I be taking? I would be grateful for a detailed video explaining all of this.
