Let’s talk about the potential benefits of taking vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 at the same time.
Vitamin K2 and vitamin D3 work closely together. Vitamin D3 supports the absorption of calcium in the small intestines. Vitamin K2 takes calcium from the blood and transports it to the bones and teeth. It also activates a protein that keeps calcium out of the arteries, joints, and other areas of the body where it shouldn’t be.
Vitamin K2 has many additional potential benefits, from supporting healthy blood sugar levels to improving wrinkles.
Animal fats are a great source of the MK4 version of vitamin K2. A different form of vitamin K2, called MK7, comes from bacteria in foods like cheese and fermented foods. People who cut fatty foods from their diet are at risk for a vitamin K2 deficiency.
Foods high in vitamin K2:
• Grass-fed butter and ghee
• Hard and soft cheeses
• Egg yolks
• Goose liver, chicken liver, and beef liver
• Hot dogs
• Salmon
If someone chooses to take a vitamin K2 supplement, they may want to consider the MK7 version. For every 10,000 IU of vitamin D3, I suggest taking 100 MCG of vitamin K2.

I’ve been taking Vitamin D3 and K2 for about 2 years now . I do up my D3 intake in winter . The sun sets up here at 4:30 pm right now . It took about 6 months before my arthritis pain went away . I never had a calcified artery . My mom did, she also had osteoporosis . But yet her doctor kept insisting she take calcium supplements . Never mentioned a thing about K2 at all . Also, she never mentioned to purchase natural vitamins . My mom was taking synthetic vitamins . Plus she was on so many meds ! Doctors need to start being held accountable for what they are recommending . I will never step foot in a doctors office again, even if I’m dying .

By taking your K2 and D3 with animal fat at bedtime, along with your magnesium glycinate, as someone who suffered from chronic insomnia for over 16 years, I've been sleeping so much better! I'm actually able to fall asleep without having to wait until I'm nearly delirious with exhaustion, on top of that I've been able to roll over and fall back asleep. Something that was impossible for me! I had a gastric bypass 10 years ago and that didn't help the sleep situation at all! I suffer from malabsorbtion.

The passion flower helps stop racing thoughts and the skullcap is calming for anxiety and nerves. Make sure to check with your doc if you're on any psych meds, heart meds, pregnant that kids of thing. Make sure to take the D with animal fat.

As an update, I took the K2 for 3 and a half months but one night I wondered why I was itchy. I had broken out in hives like I’ve never ever had before. I continued to take the K2 but the itchiness was worse at night and I realized it was after dinner when I took the K2. I was also getting dizzy spells. I stopped taking the supplement and it took 3 weeks for the hives and dizziness to go away. Reading about possible side effects, I came across my symptoms. I really want to take it again for the benefits but am afraid I’m allergic to it.

@@nighthawkde4522 How much to take is always the question along with how much is absorbed. Does the supplement you are taking actually have the stated amount or too much or too little. Are you reacting to something else in the supplement. I have read a lot of reviews on different brands of vitamins and it is not uncommon for people to have bad reactions. But determining exactly why is nearly impossible. All you can do is stop the supplement. If you think it's from a binding or filler agent try to find the purest form in another brand by a small amount and try again. I take K2 m7 but I do not supplement it every day. I do not really want every last bit of calcium removed from my blood. But without constant bloodwork how would we even know?

People are healthier in Europe , in most cases because they walk to and from their homes to public transportation. The food they eat is better than the US cheap fast foods . They spend the time to eat properly ! In the US our distances are much greater so we hop in our cars to get to where we want to go , Very little walking . Lots of junk food everywhere and we stuff it down our throats in a matter of minutes ! It’s the lifestyle more than anything else !

hello dr berg, i was planning on ordering your magnesium product as well as your vitamin d3/k2 product. however, i noticed that your d3/k2 product has 10,000 IUs (which i have recently learned is completely fine through your videos and others). however, your magnesium product also shows 1,000 IUs of D3 cholecalciferol. so my question is, is combining these two products (10,000 IUs in the one plus 1,000 IUs in the other) anything i should be concerned about? thank you and i hope to hear from you.

I took d3 4000 iu and k2 mk7 200 mcg since mid 2018. It reduce the inflammation in both my shoulders by half. However, there are some deeper pains required discovering omega3 and cats claws in 2021 to be reduced. Around jun 2023 this year, i tried k2 mk4 high dosage from thorne brand, the multi K with 5 mg of k2mk4. The effect is significant, compared to the super k2 i previously used for last 2 years. Which lead me to get the drop type from the same brand. With 10-20mg of k2 mk4 a day, in a month time most of my old old chronic deep pain in neck, shoulders, fingers, legs are all much reduced. So yes, k2 is important. But mk7 lead me to hv palpitations when more than 200 mcg per day. There are high quality mk4 and at above 10 mg per day is simply fantastic, much better than mk7 that i used for 5 years

It’s crazy because I was just researching vitamin K2 because my doctor recommended me taking K2 along with vitamin D3 because as a 40 year old male, I was diagnosed with osteopenia after my Dexa Bone Density scan was done. Very abnormal for a guy my age to even have mild bone loss, it’s mostly a woman’s issue especially older woman, and very old men. The reason why I believe I have some miles bone loss is because I believe I have Hyperparathyoridsim. My serum calcium levels have always been high, actually they are too elevated which is not normal. So even though I have very high calcium levels in my blood, like 10.5 and sometimes higher, I have bone loss. The only explanation for the high calcium is that one of my parathyroid glands has a tumor which is causing my body to suck excess amounts of calcium from my bones even though my PTH levels are normal. So for now before doing more testing on my parathyroid glands, and to help remove that excess calcium from my blood, and put it back into my bones where it belongs, is to start taking K2 on a daily basis. I have dealt with chronic fatigue for years and slow memory processing, brain fog, lack of energy, and I believe it all has to do with the elevated calcium levels in my blood which can cause brain and nerve connection problems. In many ways vitamin K2 should be way more popular and talked about when it comes to cardiovascular health from cardiologist. If one has high blood pressure, some plaquing of the arteries already, cardiologist should start telling their patients to get on a vitamin K2 supplement ASAP, and not a stupid statin. K2 will help remove the plaque buildup in the arteries, unlike a statin or any other type of drug that doesn’t do a damn thing to actually fix or cure the problem. I am hoping after a few months of taking K2 and D3 together, that my serum calcium will go down into the 9’s where it should be, not in the 10’s especially the mid 10’s. Hopefully my energy levels, and cognitive function will improve even if I might possibly have a parathyroid tumor.

@@neveldas I know, I hope I don’t either. Good thing about those tumors is that 99% of the time they are not cancerous. And the surgery to remove one is very minimal invasive surgery so nothing risky. If I do have a tumor, the only real cure for my excessively high calcium levels in the blood, is to remove it.

Anybody that claims you need 20 times the amount every day that you could ever get from Natural Foods is a lunatic and I wouldn't listen to their advice avoid as many supplements as you can get all your nutrients from Whole Foods and stop listening to these Psychopaths who say you need 50x the amount that you could ever get from Foods it is sheer nonsense the human body didn't evolve to need insane amounts of certain nutrients that are impossible to find unless you synthesize them in a laboratory.
