Unlocking every card with xp and then during a game taking +damage to different things for various turrets opens up a lot of upgrade trees.. Which in effect dilutes the deck you draw your upgrade cards from. The draw at 38:27 is a great example. Ideally stick to upgrading the native damage type for each turret. Not only do you keep your deck slimmer, it stacks up better with the multiplier from tower levels too.

All you were lacking was burn damage for a potential win. Those armor guys regen armor as long as they aren't burning, so they managed to undo all the damage you dealt previously. RIP

I really wish it was more explicit that the upgrade cards are actually a flow chart for what you'll be shuffling into your draws, and that if you fail to grab mana siphons or mana banks early, by the time you've opened up more than 3 towers it'll be that much more unlikely that you'll be able to get it later because you've diluted your odds. Honestly it would be nice if there was a note on the upgrade cards that said, "Shuffles this, this, and this into your draw pile" underneath their descriptions, as well as a tab to show what your current "deck" is. It's too much of a hidden mechanic rn, and a bit of clarity would go a long way towards fixing it. Also, it would be nice if there were more incentive to get a wide array of towers. Something like, "Your towers gain 0.5 base damage for every different tower type within its range". It would add another strategic layer that would be fun to optimize.

NL hates being backseated on a game he sucks at, we hate the zooming in and out and constant failure. I still look forward to these uploads, we're like an emotionally unstable, codependent couple.

Watching NL make the same mistake of having too many towers every time he plays is infuriatingly hilarious

I've gotten 3 or 4 Radar towers, set them "most health, most armor, most shields" and have had no problem winning every time since. Creeping cough is also super useful for slowing every unit that's poisoned. They help especially with straightaways where you can let mobs walk slowly while ticking high dot damage. The upgraded flame throwers and poison sprayers do so much dmg and just melt everything.

Watching NL get closer and closer to a million subs makes me so happy.

Transportation engineering here (in BC too!) Most highways are designed to 10kmh above the actual speed limit, so you are right that you could raise the speed limit and it would make little difference in experience.

Encampments and Freeze towers can solo the entire game incredibly easily

If there haven't been any patches, just trust me in going hard on Teslas. Obviously yes, you do need mana for them, but they hit everything at once and you can make each tick pop off huge chunks per hit. It's the easiest of single tower runs by a lot, not that that's necessary; just illustrating the power. They're slept on because one or two don't look all that impressive alone, but.. 'dude just trust me'.

To anyone that's struggling on beating the game: spam more mortars, that's the best tower in the game just behind late-game Universities. Flamethrowers and poison do great DoT damage but in my experience flames do less damage overall (maybe it's because I don't have many upgrades unlocked on them but idk). Late game is all about spamming new buffed towers thanks to your Universities, I got through the game pretty easily on my fourth attempt (granted I already had the gist of it thanks to watching NL) using a lot of Tesla Coils + Poison/flame + Frost + Shredders while the Mortars just target everything in sight with an amazing AoE. Mana will be a problem but do try to spam mana banks for that. I'd personally recommend refunding your XP so that you don't get any other tower besides the ones I mentioned, but I know some people love the other towers so go for it any way you like, it's a rogue-like after all :)

I know nobody cares, but I bought this game today and beat big brain oogie after 4.8 hours of playtime. I was absolutely pogged out of my mind when it happened. I got insanely lucky and had an incredibly long single path before it split. I credit the pogmaster himself for knowing how to play!

Whenever people talk about driving on a highway I'm always like "You guys drive these speeds and that's normal? And there's people overtaking you?". I never drove on a highway myself but I've heard stories of people doing 200km/h which is about 125mph and having beamers sit on their butt and flash their lights at them. For context - the speed limit on Polish highways is 140km/h which is 87mph. Anytime I hear something like that I'm like "No wonder accidents still happen even though those road are pretty much straight". People are freaking crazy sometimes.

Just to flex on NL I beat single defense TWICE. Clearly it's the lack of egg that helped me to succeed.

I've had RT for a week now, and I've managed to complete wave 45 several times on single tower type + ballista and no ballista. Fire towers are proving ineffective; they simply can't cut through enough even with several upgrades past wave 30. Same with shredder towers, despite their being able to do fantastic damage. Radar is good for mid to late, after you've got very solid lines that would stop targets on their own without the radar. Lookouts just seem to suck (because they only mark 'one' target which the towers might, but usually don't, shoot at even if it's in range and they're set to 'marked'). Encampments are just too confusing to make function... fast movers zoom in and wipe out the mines every single time and the slow movers just walk right through. One thing about encampments, though - if you put them in an area where they have very minimal coverage ALL of their mines will be dumped there, rather than spread out. It makes for one big huge boom if the only target coming is big and slow.

I just did a frost tower solo run. Frost keeps are so good.. it was a bit dicey at times, but I beat big brain for the win :)
