I know Excalibur gets some bad reviews but I always enjoy staying there. Nice location, good prices and really great service. The rooms are just kinda ok, but how much time do you really spend in your room anyway. It was an amazing place to stay back in the 90’s and early 2000’s when there rooms and restaurants all still had a medieval theme.

I wouldn't call PH a budget/cheap hotel. I would call it the best mid-tier hotel on the strip.

I actually like the Luxor as a cheap hotel on the strip. It's a little far from everything, but for the price it's not to bad.

In Ireland most travel agencies offer Excalibur & Luxor as the cheapest option to Vegas but they have never appealed to me as for €100 more your into MGM, PH, NYNY but be great to see more on them and room upgrade options for entry level hotels 👌🏻

I like the linq, I just got back from vegas and stayed in a small suite there with 6 people and it worked out good. The promenade is the biggest plus for sure👍 but they had elevator issues that were causing people to miss uber and lift rides 😬

@@DB-vz6xk The twenty dollar trick as it's referred to has been around a long time. Let the front desk agent see your bribe. However with properties focused on upsell and computer driven decision making it's gotten tougher to get upgrades. Most major strip chain properties like MGM, Caesars, WYNN and Venetian aren't going to give you an upgraded unless your an established casino guest. However upgrades are available for the asking. I find being polite, complementing front desk agent, making chit chat and then just asking if any complimentary upgrades are available when you check in works just as well. Also it helps to know what type of upgrade you want and be flexible. Example if your looking to get bumped from that lowest price room to a 1200 sqft suite, it probably wont happen. Asking for a good view, high floor, and bump up are usually accommodated for casino guests and occasional special events (birthday, bachelor/ette, etc). Oh yeah always tip for good service.

@@Funkhouser_777 I’ve stayed in the Venetian and done the $20 trick. I’ve stayed 4 times from 2015-2018 and worked every time. All depends on the checkin agent. Then I have to come back to Stoke and live a normal life! Lol

so when you go to Vegas you expect peace and quiet? so u decide to stay mid strip where everything is loud and everyone is partying....? don't leave a bad review becuz u don't like it loud. next time book ur stay off the strip perhaps? ph was amazing when I went. and I stayed on the 18th floor and didn't hear any loud music from the cosmo at all

When you check into any Caesars property, you go to the front desk with your license and CC, tucked in between the two is your 20$ bill. As you had the check in person your stuff, you then ask, "I'm looking for an upgrade, perhaps a suite for my stay." No sweat, it always works.
