Expert nutritionist explains if red meat is bad for you.
In recent years, the consumption of red meat has been a topic of much debate and controversy.
While red meat can be a valuable source of protein and essential nutrients, there has been a growing concern about the potential dangers of consuming too much of it. Research has linked high intake of red meat to an increased risk of various health problems, including heart disease, certain types of cancer, and even premature death. As a result, many health experts and organisations recommend limiting the consumption of red meat and opting for other protein alternatives.
But what’s the truth?
In this video, expert nutritionist, Jamie Wright explores the potential risks associated with excessive red meat consumption and uncover the real facts that need to be considered in this debate.

Great video! Really like your honesty in all videos, although myprotein is a commercial company. What do you think of fish? What are the advantages and disadvantages? And to what extent can fish replace meat?

Also worth noting that a lot of the Experts who publish these papers seem to have "Other" interest$ that may be helping to form their opinions.....

To be fair though, that's true of any study where profits are concerned.

oh i don't doubt that at all, it's just that nutrition is important for everything we do, and a lot of entities have a vested interest in profits over quality of foods. So if statistics can be skewed they almost certainly will be one way or another. Just reminding people to do their own reasearch when concerning food and form thier own informed opinions. Cheers :)@@jimloth6091

Is that relevant here though? All very well saying 'some papers may be biased by their funding source', but is that the case here, and if so, who is funding it and why? Otherwise that's a facile and irrelevant point to make.

@@matt69nice I wish someone had made such "facile and irrelevant" points when we were being told that smoking and DDT were harmless, sugar was good for you, and thalidomide was a safe way to prevent morning sickness.

Red meat by itself is very healthy for you. Us humans and other animals literally evolved eating it. However, it also depends on how the animals are treated AND how you cook the food
