IS SHE CRAZY?! Psychology Expert REACTS TO Baby Reindeer's Real Life Martha!

Excerpt from Business Insider
The woman outed as the alleged 'Baby Reindeer' stalker said she felt 'used' in Piers Morgan interview, where he asked her if she loves Richard Gadd
A woman who was outed by "Baby Reindeer" fans as the alleged stalker of the true crime drama's creator and lead actor said she felt "used" by Piers Morgan in an interview about the Netflix series.
"Baby Reindeer" tells a fictionalized version of creator Richard Gadd's experiences with stalking, and has become a worldwide phenomenon since its release in April. That month, an unnamed woman who was outed on social media as "the real Martha Scott" told the Daily Mail she was considering taking legal action against Gadd and Netflix for the harassment she has faced as a result of viewers trying to track her down.
On Wednesday, Morgan revealed he had interviewed Fiona Harvey, believed to be the woman first interviewed by the Daily Mail. The interview will be released Thursday at 3pm ET on Morgan's KZfaq channel, Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Real-life Martha Scott from Baby Reindeer sits down for tell-all Piers Morgan interview
The show has already sparked a backlash among viewers
The woman who allegedly inspired Richard Gadd’s hit Netflix series Baby Reindeer will give her first TV interview this Thursday (9 May).
In the series, comedian Richard Gadd plays a fictionalised version of himself who gets stalked by a lonely and mentally ill woman called Martha, whom he meets while working at a pub.
Following the series’ success curious fans have tried to discover the inspirations behind the show, which members of the cast have vehemently discouraged.
Scottish lawyer Fiona Harvey, 58, who has been labelled the ‘real Martha’ has received death threats from Baby Reindeer viewers and will speak on Piers Morgan Uncensored to “set the record straight after being unmasked by fans”.
Excerpt from The Sun
‘STALKER’ UNMASKED ‘I’m very attractive and I’m a lawyer’, says ‘real Baby Reindeer stalker’ Fiona Harvey as she threatens Netflix
THE WOMAN thought to be the real-life stalker from Netflix smash Baby Reindeer is threatening to sue Netflix.
The gritty real-life drama was inspired by the ordeal suffered by Scots creator and leading man Richard Gadd, 34.
The harrowing tale follows barman Donny Dunn as his life falls apart at the hands of an obsessive stalker - played by Jessica Gunning, 38, - after he offers her a cup of tea in a London bar.
The deranged Baby Reindeer maniac bombarded the comic with more than 41,000 emails, 744 tweets, 100 pages of letters and 350 hours of voicemails over a four year reign of terror
Gadd claimed he went to great lengths to conceal the identity of the woman who stalked him in real life and has begged fans not to search for her.

Once she was outted she had more negative attention than anyone would want. There's his truth her truth and the real truth is somewhere in between. Regardless of how much of this is true Netflix and Gad were wrong to make this show and so thinly veil her privacy. By him playing himself it would have been a dead giveaway who she is through everyone who knew them. Fiona's level of sanity should not figure into her privacy being breached especially for monetary gain for others.

@ryan131rm That's not what I said - please re read my post. Gad and Netflix start the show by saying this is a TRUE story. Then Gad says he changed the names and certain places to protect the privacy of others. He then proceeds to play himself so anyone who knew him would instantly know who, what and where he was talking about. Clearly neither he nor Netflix gave two shakes about protecting anyone or anything. This to me is a lie. Had he used real names and real places it would have been truthful. So if they played fast and loose with this "truth" what other truths are now suspect ?? They cast doubt on their own credibility. If you're going to tell a truth and potentially damage someone's reputation you better make DA*M sure you crossed all your "T's" and dotted all your "I's". For instance where is Fiona's arrest records - public records and yet no one can locate them. One must be careful when weaponizing the truth.

I have a friend who is very like 'Martha' both on the show and in the interview, and she has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. It can be very difficult being her friend. She does not read the room, her mood swings are extreme and often violent, and she sees offense everywhere. Then she turns on a dime and is the most pleasant person you could meet. She desperately wants friends but doesn't trust them. I would hate to be plagued by such an awful illness. It must be daily torment.

Let's remember what stalking behaviour does to people's mental and physical health. I'm more worried for her victims. This woman should be monitored daily. She is a huge threat to people. The safe place for us is her locked up. If this was a male do you think it would get this kind of attension. Now she's being offered money for her story. If she gets money it should go to her victims for treatment.

She is calculating and very smart. She has some rage issues, no doubt from her childhood. Issues that she has gotten better at keeping in check. That's probably less true with her obsessions but obsessions can be concealed, as long as her behavior stays within the social norms. Whatever diagnosis is secondary to how she manages it. If she has insight on to her own behavior then I'm not worried about Martha. She's not a narcissist. It's a different motivation and pay off. More likely Borderline Personality Disorder & Depression. She likely feels at her best when she is researching people. If afforded more of a like minded community she could have avoided lots of trauma. I hope something positive comes from this story.

I read an article this morning where Gadd, stated this was “based on a true story” and he used the words, parts were fictionalized. After the interview you had with Piers Morgan and the ride psycho lady there, I was surprised to see that this morning. He also said that they changed the identity enough that the woman likely would not recognize herself. Yet how many stalkers would one guy have!?!😂 I think she’d know if it was the guy she stalked. Apparently people are after Terri from the show as well, according to this story I read. Personally I think she is the real Martha. But, I do think Netflix should have done more to protect her, as well as the character Terri, who is trans and could be in danger.

As someone who is dealing with a stalker, I feel they should be called out, NO OTHER PERSON should be subjected to the harm that a stalker causes and it will deter future stalking incidents because they can be exposed for their horrible and harmful choices. Healthy coping skills is a good thing and providing those is a good strategy. Stalking is a preventative problem I believe. Real consequences are effective. If you don’t want the results, then don’t make the choices that lead to them. Stalkers are also notorious for lying and denying the conscience choices they make. 😔😔😔

If she hadn't come forward and identified herself, nobody would have known the real person behind Martha. She chose for it to happen; she could have remained anonymous and not verified her identity, leaving people to guess. Perhaps she has her own story to tell, and maybe the series was only partly true for cinematic purposes. Who knows? Maybe she wants to share her side of the story and believes that some people might sympathize with her.

If Fiona Harvey truly appeared in a Borough of London Court, then she would've been psychologically tested for EVERY type of personality disorder known to mankind, way before being sentenced for stalking. Absolutely anything to help her defense in a psychological manner would've been considered. If she was imprisoned (as I highly suspect) it was because she was considered criminally responsible throughput the length of her crimes and the thousands of pieces of admitted evidence pointed firmly right back at her. 😊

Stalkers know the harm they are causing, that’s why they deny and lie. They are fully aware of the damage they do and will continue, even if they get caught and are now faced with their own behavior. They’re desperate, delusional, and need to be punished. The innocent folks who get abused by these people have rights too. All stalkers are ‘victims’, especially of themselves.

I have not heard any experts suggest the possibility of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or Other Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD). As a specialist in treating dissociative conditions, I observed several indicators during her interview suggesting this diagnosis could be possible. Most with these conditions use the plural "we" instead of "I." This was evident when she stated, "We were congratulating him on his show," and "We were trying to encourage him because with the..." - both instances occurring in contexts that typically warrant singular pronouns. Additionally, switches between alters might manifest as incongruent emotional expressions or sudden shifts in personality. We observed this sudden, incongruent emotional shift during the interview when she laughed and immediately shifted to a still facial expression. Also, her portrayal in the series displayed sudden, extreme shifts that were uncharacteristic and shocking like when she suddenly became rageful and other times when she was child-like. In cases of DID and OSDD, we may see inconsistencies in skill levels such as reading, writing, and spelling as they shift between alters, especially when shifting to a child alter. This phenomenon was noted in the series when referring to her spelling. Finally, we see the portrayal of her being in an unresponsive, dissociated state at a bus stop which is congruent with dissociative conditions. Overall, her behavior during the interview and the portrayal in the series struck me as potentially indicative of DID or OSDD. Although this specific case portrays harmful behavior, it should not be generalized to all individuals diagnosed with DID or OSDD. The problematic stigma and stereotype often depicted in media of DID or OSDD involving dangerous alters is inaccurate and harmful.
