Another great review. Thanks for showing a few other rav 4 trims to compare the 22 XLE hybrid. Interesting you don’t get fog lamps on the XLE hybrid trim, I guess if you want them you have go XLE gas or higher hybrid grade.

Terrific summary, including all of the relevant technology. I did notice the RAV4 has a hump in the center floor while the AWD CRV is totally flat. But after test driving both I'm and seeing this video, I'm going to order the RAV4. The T-sense safety features are a real plus and since it's standard I don't need to shell out for one of the higher trims. Thanks again for sharing your outstanding knowledge!

Hi Brian: I have a question about opening clearances for the rear door (lift gate) when the 2022 Toyota RA4 Prime is parked in a garage at home. How much clearance is needed behind the vehicle and above the vehicle to safely open the rear door. I realize the opening height is adjustable. Thanks. Update: Toyota Nation owner reports the maximum opening height is 75 1/2 inches which is uncomfortably close to his open garage door but that the rear door opening adjustment can be manually set to limit the opening which should solve the overhead clearance issue.

I don’t have a dimension for how far the tailgate is in its furthest position sorry. But keep in mind, no matter the height adjustment, it’s protrusion out beyond the rear is the same no matter the setting.

It’s a possible customization but that depends on your dealers capabilities so pricing will vary.

Thank you! 🙏🏼 I always stop on the first click. If you think the tank isn’t filling all the way though I’d def recommend stopping at your local Toyota service center to have it checked out.

Is it the same 5 spoke rim on the 2022 XLE premium hybrid or is it different? On my build they look different on the spec sheet and I’m trying to confirm which wheel comes on the 2022 XLE Premium hybrid. The build says 18 inch multi spoke dark metallic finished alloy.

I took the pin stripes off of my 2021 and blacked out the chrome strip above the windows. Not sure why Toyota put that on all the Rav4 models, looks better black. Wish they would have had all door and upper console buttons light up at night, seems like a safety feature to me.

5’10” I fit perfect. 6’2” is a grey area I def recommend sitting in a display model or rental first before ordering one.

Just purchased me 22 xle and i noticed the fog lights were missing compared to my 21 xle. I wanted to know if the 22 rv4 xle set up to where we can get the fog lights added?

Yes they removed them as standard equipment for 2022 which stinks. Many dealers offer 3rd party options that are plug and play. My suggestion is when you buy them (where ever from) triple verify they are plug and play so you don’t have to have any wires cut.

Just got my 2022 XSE, fully loaded sports package Hybrid. Best vehicle Ive ever owned. The only small complaint? The JBL upgraded sound system is a little lacking. I will probably upgrade it further. Took me almost 2 months to get it built. The hybrids are stupid popular where I live. None of them ever hit the lot at all.

12:19 12:19 into this hit home and was the big reason why I chose this vehicle! Can't wait for it to come in. More utilitarian and easy to use manual controls. I don't understand what the competition was even thinking with complete touch screens on their sport utilities (ahem Subaru outback). It's an oxymoron. People who buy these go places where they must keep their eyes on the road.

Highway low to mid 30s and of course it can. Any Toyota is a wonderful option for Lyft because they’re comfortable and safe for you and your riders.

The seats look very hard! My dad had a Hyundai Sonata with seats that look similar and after an hour in the car on a trip, it get very uncomfortable. Does anyone know of a current car model with seats that aren't so hard/stiff?

@@Great_America Our store is MSRP on almost all cars for local customers and only slightly over on the primes. The market is the market though. But yea $10k over is insane. A couple grand over MSRP is not.

@@mrparkerdan They didn’t do that to save money they actually did that to start normalizing hybrids. If Toyota had their way, gas models would have a badge and would slowly be phased out. I don’t have an answer about the fog lights yet
