Life is an uphill battle even if you believe God. It is dangerous to tell people that life will be smooth on earth if you believe God. The point of Christ suffering for us isnt just so we don't, the purpose of Christ suffering for us is so we know how to.

He did quote scripture AND gave context though (Genesis 1 & 2, John 4, John 8, 1 Peter 3, and an allusion to Ephesians 5 as well), and did a good job explaining why the Bible isn't sexist against women, but rather uplifts and protects them, particularly amongst a culture that did the opposite.

You clearly didn't listen properly. I think you should study history. Visit other cultures. When it comes to women, Christians have it best. I was pregnant with a girl in China. When I was getting an ultrasound I wanted her to confirm the gender that I already knew from Europe. She looked horrified and said it's recently been made illegal to tell you, if you want to know you have to go underground. I said I already knew it was a girl. I was very confused at first. So I asked around. They had to make it illegal because so few girls were being born that population was collapsing and men had to be rich to score any kind of wife. But at the same time if a woman isn't married by 27 she's a 'left over' woman and finds it difficult to marry. There must be something seriously wrong with her, even if she was focused on career or whatever. They started buying younger wives from North Korea instead. You can't tell the gender till you're at least 15 weeks. That's late to have an abortion in any country. That's developed. Even most prochoicers would baulk at that in the West. But the people I talked to .... the lack of .... the matter of factness. It chilled me. Deeply, deeply chilling. Now people pay for underground ultrasounds, they aren't allowed to predict sex in a proper hospital. So they'll come to your house and also abort right there on your table, conscious, if you find it's a girl. Then they'll flush it down the toilet if it fits. There's no emotion. It's hard to explain if you haven't known people who haven't left China. Not even a slither of guilt. Only thinking about their own future. Only. Their. Own. Future. Matters. At. All. Because they don't believe in souls. My friend and I were walking through town one day and a pamphlet was on the road. She told me it was an ad for the underground ultrasounds that she had described. I said we should take it to the police, it's illegal right?!! She laughed. As if those policemen haven't called them themselves? To use them? There's ads everywhere! They'll only arrest someone at a hospital if the doctor can't afford to pay them off and the boss says do it. They don't want to. It's hard to describe until you look into someones eyes as they explain this as if it's totally normal. But some things just are superior to others. Even on a practical level, China has a big big problem for itself in the next 100 years. Everything in the Bible makes life as you know it, superior. Whether you realise it or not.

Even the look that the doctor and the nurse (who were both women by the way) shared, when I told her 'i already know it's a girl I just wanted you to double check' then looked at my husband and said 'I WON LOL' and he smiled. Then I saw them exchange a glance, it was so.... hard to put into words. They thought it was weird, more than weird, that I was happy that 'i won'. And they were BOTH women! Can you imagine being a woman and being sad that another woman is having a girl? I can only barely because of the conversations I had. It's a dark, dark, world. Misogynistic doesn't even scratch the surface of that. And you'd think that since there's so few women they get treated like Queens, no? They do not. My coworker came to work with a black eye and just matter of fact said her husband did it, and shrugged. When I looked horrified, she looked confused. She was like "surrreee I could go to the police" when I suggested it "but then he'd just be more angry that he had to pay them". Shrug. Freaking shrug!!! Not even mad that the police are too corrupt to help her. There's just so much to say but words can't even describe it.

He is male. All of His character is His and on the Earth He has chosen men to highlight certain aspects of Him and women emphasize other aspects of Him.

@@diegojayme9687 Women are not inferior. We all have equal value. Our roles however can differ. He does call men in a marriage to be the Head of the household.

@@diegojayme9687 God is simply GOD Exodus 3:14 reads as God saying “I am who I am". Which makes me think that gender is something earthly created by God so we could procreate. We are so limited with our human thoughts that it’s impossible to describe God - I could try describe God as perfect, holy, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient - but it would not be enough! I am late to this conversation but Genesis 1:27 says this: "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." I would rather characterize it like this: Instead of thinking that God is either/both/neither man or woman, flip it around. Man/woman are both reflections of God in finite being.
