Great video! This year will be my family's 2nd year not celebrating Christmas or any of the other pagan holidays, and it is amazingly great and freeing! I will be raising my children to believe in the most high and his son not Santa!

Hmm, we don't celebrate Christmas like mainstream Christians do (pagan) but that scripture of Jeremiah is pertaining to Moloch, not Christmas trees. They were cutting down trees and essentially building statues of Moloch and melting gold and silver to make a platform in Moloch's hands for their human sacrifices. No, that scripture is not referring to Christmas trees; important to make that clear.

I agree and I have had a lot of criticism directed toward me for teaching that.

There is no denying that many traditions and customs surrounding Christmas are derived from pre-Christian beliefs and practices. Even the time of year its celebrated, around the Winter Solstice (the idea of light overtaking darkness and its symbolic ‘translation’ into Christianity), is pre-Christian. Indeed, many of our present-day customs and traditions, from the days of the week, to the candles you blow out on your birthday cake, have pre-Christian antecedents; but no one really seems to complain about those. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that very few people are even remotely aware of them. A few examples of the more common absurdities floating around out there include, but are certainly not limited to, the following: “Santa & Nimrod” - Contrary to what some people would have one believe, the name “Santa” has absolutely zero connection to Nimrod of Shinar. In one apocryphal/extracanonical work from 6th century Ge’ez, similar to the Syriac “Cave of Treasures”, gives an account of this mythological king. In it, there appears a character called “Santal” (*not* “Santa”). I strongly suspect this is where the urban legend (yes, I’m calling it an urban legend) of “Santa” as “Nimrod” has its ultimate origins. I have yet to see anyone who claims this absurdity cite a credible source. Christmas Trees - The Christmas tree is a Germanic custom - zero to do with borrowing from the Romans, who borrowed it from, blah, blah, blah, who borrowed it from blah, blah, blah ….. It is a pre-Christian _Germanic_ custom. Absolutely zero ties to any supposed Biblical reference. Many are keen to site Jeremiah 10: 1-5; however, most people who do so are jumping to unfounded conclusions - the Biblical account is of a tree cut down and its _trunk_ fashioned into an idol and adorned with gold and silver. It speaks of idolatry; absolutely zero to do with the actual tree or Christmas trees. Trees were brought into homes as a Germanic custom, nut were not decorated until the Middle Ages, and certainly not with gold and silver. Santa as an anagram of Satan - This has got to be, beyond a doubt, one of the most ludicrous things I have ever heard. Thinking and promoting the notion that 'Santa' is an anagram for 'Satan' is an utterly absurd train of thought. That holds about as much truth as saying 'Dog' is an anagram for 'God'. Sounds like you had some ‘issues’ or trauma regarding “Santa” in early childhood. Guess I’m never going to half the places in California named ‘Santa X’! For those unfortunates who hold the above thought, you don’t need Jesus; you need a therapist. The above may have had some of its origin in the British English expression “Old Nick” as referring to the Devil - I suspect the idea is that it derives from ‘St. Nicholas’; thus “Old St. Nick” and “Old Nick” are one and the same. The British term, however, comes from a corruption of the Old Dutch word “Nikken” a reference to the Devil - zero to do with the name Nicholas. The name “Santa” is simply a corruption of the Dutch “Sinter” (Saint) - nothing more, nothing less. North America has borrowed many traditions form the Celts (via Irish and Scottish colonists) which ultimately come from Druidism (these traditions are mainly plant related - holly, ivy, mistletoe, etc.). The list goes on and on - Quite frankly, whether one wishes to acknowledge it or not, the “pagan-ness” has been effectively ‘bread out’ of Christmas and its traditions for well over 1,000 years now. They have, for all intents and purposes, become completely Christianized. Like other pre-Christian customs and traditions that have become part of our culture, it’s time to grow up and get over it.

I wish people would turn away from this false Christmas belief. It makes me very uncomfortable to be around family who still practice and believe these lies about Jesus birth. Even Christian's are practicing these things which I find horrid.

Why would people not go up to celebrate that festival during that time? We all go to corny little festivals in and around our own towns now and we enjoy them, but for God to say it this way in scripture, implies that some will not and there will be a punishment for not showing up. I'm sure they will be fun and since I woke up to what's going on, to be honest, I have been pretty erked to find that because of the retarded traditions of man, the beautiful and educational festivals of God have been HIJACKED from us all, so I'm curious if anyone knows some of the reasons that would cause people to not participate during the 1000 years.

Do you think God is happy with us? Worshipping him on Sunday? When that's not the sabbath. Every church does it? The sabbath is on Saturday. Isn't a whole Christian world? Disobey in god's Is word. Let me ask this question. The cross was a big and symbol. But yet Christians celebrate the cross. Many churches have a cross hanging on the wall or many crosses.
