I only got to use the labs for like. A month or two before it closed down. And man I miss that app. I think the thing I miss the most was the aesthetic. Which I guess is silly when there are bigger problems with the arena. But the new thing is just very sterile looking and sounding. I liked the absurdly loud anime op sounding ass background music and the banners and the cool color scheme. It made me feel like a Digimon protag kid. Now I just feel like a boring office worker. Which I guess I am technically speaking but I'd like my pretend pets to be more exciting.

You're absolutely right, the old app had it's own aesthetic that fit the Digimon theme. They neutered all of that when they wanted the VB to cover multiple franchises, it's so stale and safe now and doesn't fit any of them.

@mysticdigital5936 yeah, there are people that are smarter than me that data mine, and make custom Dims, surely there's a way to grab data off the watch and store it

I recently got a vital hero a few days ago and ive transferred my greymon and wizardmon back and forth between app amd watch amd havent had any problems. The app is a tad slow for me but not to bad. Other than that ots worked pretty well for me. I love thag even the Japanese dims show up in english when you put them in the app

Wow your collection is amazing. Trying to get involved in the digimon franchise again after a very long absence and wanted to play with the bracelet but the app was a nightmare. Checking out videos to see if it has gotten better.

Well here is a good update. In the vital hero section the adventures are back up and running. They went down for a few weeks and the last update brought back the functionality and I'm able to get my rewards from that. So for now it's all working okay but what concerns me is how long is it going to be before Bandai ditches the VB products and shuts down the servers for this app. I'm hoping the community gets together and find a way to do a back up of our digimon.

I got a BE before learning just how frustrating the new app is. in the box it sits til this app gets overhauled. if ever. lol

I have a hero, the first thing I noticed was that I more or less don't want to use the app, as it doesn't do much at all except store my Digimon - in the case of the hero - and I'm wondering if there's an alternate solution. I wonder if there's a way to reprogram older models, like the Hero, and remove the online functions (such as the special mission, which no longer works at all) in exchange for more storage, and perhaps cross-Dim combat (so, I'm using Hermit in the Jungle, but I still could run into Dragons' Roar because I had previously loaded Dragons' roar). Custom backgrounds would also be nice.

@LostinTranslationmon Are you able to describe how you got locked out? I think the same thing is happening to me, and I'm really upset. I put my monsters in there for half an hour and now I'm worried they're gone forever. I log in on the green screen, then the white screen is stuck there forever.

Should of just buy the BE it’s worth it and you can use most of the Dims since the hero is limited.

The app kinda sucks and it costed me the first WarGreymon that I was raising to become a Royal Knight, he is the first Digimon that I lost during the transfer

I had to change my region to Japan and turn off my automatic time update setting for it to let me find opponents in the app

man i just wish there was stuff to DO. all there is is PVP but as far as I can tell (I have the vital hero so idk if I'm missing out on a BE-exclusive feature), it costs vitals regardless of win or loss, and you don't get anything out of it. All I use it for is for storing the mons I've raised, but that's it.

By the way. I just bought a 25th anniversary vital bracelet with the its dim card and now I would like to buy the dim cards for my nostalgia project ahah. My favorite Digimon always been Gabumon and I would have in the device that for first. And I would have also Agumon but I would have the possibility to jogress eventually Metal Garurumon and Metal Graymon like if I was in the beginning of the game Digimon world next order (I didn’t finish that yet. So no spoiler ahah) 🙈. I know there are many dim cards with those Digimon but I would have especially the possibility of the jogress (even if I know it should be irreversible but I don’t want just Omegamon). What dim cards I have to buy?

Honestly, even though the BE is objectively better than the VB, I hate the Arena so much. It just lacks everything that made the Lab great! I hate that there's not a dedicated storage area, just the Assign screen. Plus the lack of templates sucks. It was neat to have a new template for EVERY DiM card. Thankfully I didnt lose any Digimon transferring yet. I did lose my first two Gammamon to the old app because the DiM failed. I just hate that Bandai took a great Digimon product and made it into a general Bandai thing with a much worse app. Really scared that they'll just discontinue the VB and app at some point and it'll be like the mobile game. The app's greatest sin remains no Be Strong With You though.

I get the app having problems at launch. But the fact that Bandai seems in no hurry to make the app actually better, just fix some bugs and add one main new feature bothers me. What's the point of the plate option if it only has one option from an event. And why can't we have battles like in the lab and pvp battles both. No one is ever on to fight against.

Can't even connect to a Bandai account unless you are in the UK, US or JP. If an update drops in and my account is disconnected, all the progress is lost.

Wait, the VBLab can still be used but has no online functionality? Do you mean if I can get my hands on the install file I can put it on my phone and safely store my Digimon directly on my phone instead of a server that could go offline when Bandai decides they're done supporting the BE?

No, unfortunately. This video is about the VB Arena app. VB Lab got shut down over a year ago.

Yeah the VB Arena is still bad. The only way it can be as good as VB lab is if it was VB Lab. The aesthetics, the load times, and the battles/raids are the most obvious differences that make the Lab better. The battles in the Arena app feel like a chore and connections never felt smooth. The only good thing about it is that you can transfer Digimon to the VB/BE while it's in storage. But even then, transferring is still annoying with how it checks cards and I frequently have to scan my phone over the VB/BE a few extra times than necessary for it to get to the final step.

I've never lost any digimon by transfering it, but sometimes there was this bug were I cloned my digimon and ended up with two, one in my bracelet and other in the app. Btw the app is still slow as f**. :(

I don't know bandai always has to screw it up. The VB had a lot of potential along with a well developed app. I'm just getting my first VB BE in a couple of days, I guess the app hasn't improved at all even now, right?

Yeah, the app is still horrible. It’s so slow to move Digimon back and forth. Then, there’s nothing to do with your collection. Training stats was hard before, but the addition of items in the bracelet *and* overly generous items in the app made it all stupid easy and even more pointless. I only don’t blow through new BE Memories because of the app being a headache to use and my desire to make them last a bit longer, but I probably have enough app items to blow through an entire BEM in a day if I wanted to. When working on Champion or Ultimate, I just bump their vitals to 9999 immediately, and have the gold bracelet item which is overpowered and one of the most common you can receive? I love the idea of the items, but they’ve rendered any need to train useless. I wish there was some sort of app campaign, even surface level, that I could play with all of my mons. Maybe they can make a Switch game some day where you can do that, lol. I have no idea. It’s just item grinds, item receiving, and maxed megas tossed to a slow app to collect dust.
