Is the Herman Miller X Logitech chair worth it?

This is a box that cost me £1,300 which is about the same in US dollars and quite frankly that's ridiculous and PLEASE DON'T TELL MY WIFE.
Yes, I paid real money for the Herman Miller X Logitech Embody gaming chair. This video wasn't sponsored and I'm not giving it back. So hahahhahahaha, my poor bank account.
But I'm an old man and my back hurts, so dammit why not.
The worst thing about this is I can't even make affiliate money off it. Unless you click this link and purchase and happen to live in Europe because Logitech doesn't think I deserve an American account...

I've had this chair for about 8 months, I have been through tons of chairs - I've had part of my spine removed so it is hard to find a good one, but the herman I can just sit in forever it seems like. love it

To adjust the arms easier, you should pull upwards slightly then shift it. Forcing it in/out will only damage it.

To me, the value of a thing is measured by what you get out of it over time; obviously the more you use something the better value it becomes. When I moved house back in 2011 I found myself with cash left over so I got myself a mesh Herman Miller Aeron chair and there's not been a day where I've regretted that. My bum's spent more hours in it than I can count, so dividing the cost by that, and that I'm still using the thing just fine, makes it worth it.

Just took the plunge on this chair. Was initially going to buy the Secretlabs Titan Evo 2022. Got to test it in person was not impressed so decided to screw it and get the Embody logitech version if all the reviews i seen are good it must be a good chair. At the end of the day its an investment on your back so i believe it will live up to the task. Good review as always.

I know what you mean with your thoughts on price and stuff at the end. I still struggle a bit with whether or not it was worth it spending about half of what you did on a steelcase chair. I have zero complaints with it. Its actually great and has helped greatly with a disability of mine.

I bought mine three months ago (non-logitech version) and it's literally the best chair I've ever sat on. I suggest you watch tutorials on how to adjust it properly for your body. Luckily I have no back problems but this is an investment for the future, which I think is worth every penny.

I also have this chair. It is costly however I would say worth it for the back. My issues with it are it can make noise, and hurt your butt when used all day so I put a Purple cushion on it.

Ive always spent roughly $200 US on chairs. I tried secretlabs when they first came out eith the built in lumbar. I didnt like it so i returned it. 6 months ago, i bought the cooler master xc1 which i initially liked but i coukdnt take the lumbar pillow out cause the wings of the chair were so pronounced and im a slightly bigger guy it poked into my sides too much. Sold it to a friend and bought a new secretlabs 2022 evo and am loving it. I had a warranty issue right away and think i got another one coming up lmao. But ita so much more comfortable than other chairs ive tried. The $650 price tag hurts a bit but im definitely sold on spending more for a nocer chair. Especially with back problems. I would have consider this herman miller but i want a high back to lean back in and their slightly taller midback but not quite high back doesnt fit the bill so to speak.

This is the same principle as owning a nice mattress. You spend more hours on your mattress and chair that you’ll ever spend almost anywhere else.

chair aside, i really enjoy "listen to" your voice, made me what microphone you used. im on the fence of buying this chair, money aside, heard some underwhelming comments about this chair, mostly from 30 plus days sitting experience. what do you think of it now? is it really worth it?

I'm about to spend 450€ on a motherboard, i think you're fine. I have back/neck problems since a motorcycle accident in 2010 so i know how you feel. I wish I was able to afford a better chair in one go but seems like way too much.

Sounds like you do know how you feel about it. I am what I call ass-challenged, as in I was born with nothing much down there! When I go into one of my favorite music venues in Chicago, the chairs are beautiful but they are made of solid Teak with no padding. AGONY without my chair cushion! 😱

I actually love that lava mouse mat i wanna do a gire theme where my desk is and i think that would be a great addon. The over 1000 pound chair is not lol

I’m glad I came across other youtuber’s video regarding this chair so that I could ask you this question but does this chair squeak a lot? When I saw another person’s video, he was saying that for the price tag they should’ve tried to eliminate the squeaking sound and it’s not a small squeaking sound either. It’s pretty loud. Is that the case with yours?
