Are we saved by keeping the law? Does a believer need to keep the law in order to stay saved or maintain his salvation. Is the LAW necessary for a Believer??

I appreciate that free grace teachers are anomian and not antinomian. This makes a qualitative difference which is biblical!😊

Jesus was far greater than the law! The law says to love your neighbors and Jesus loved his enemies! His righteousness is the greatest! All glory to Jesus Christ!!!

Amen I am so glad u addressed this! I hate this hyper dispensational teaching going around. There has always been ( although not as clear lest the enemy know God's plans and not have Jesus ctucified) and always will be ONE way to be saved...the finished work of Jesus Christ alone. By Grace thru faith in Jesus Christ. God bless you

Honestly after hearing this and seeing what the scriptures says for myself, I’m not offended at all. In fact I’m extremely happy and excited to know that I’m eternally saved and free by the Gospel alone. Makes me very excited to serve God and reap up rewards in heaven!^^

One question: HOW do you know that you are "eternally saved"?

I know because of what Christ did for me that I could NEVER do for myself. Eternal life lasts forever and is freely given by God Upon belief in the Gospel. John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

@@squidtoonist9760 Why do you assume that "they" and "no man" in John 10:28 include you? It is true that nobody can pluck you out, but YOU can do it by doing sin. Sin can cause the loss of eternal life. So dont be deceived. Read John 15:6, Gal 5:21 etc

Amen. Galatians 2:21. I do not void the grace of God, for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. We have His imputed Righteousness. Romans 4:6. Just as David describeth the blessedness of the man to whom the Lord IMPUTETH righteousness, APART FROM WORKS. And the blood of Jesus covers us from all sin. Romans 4:7-8. Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. A child and forever I am. John 1:12. John 6:47. God cannot lie. Acts 16:31. Romans 6:23. The GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE. No one can earn it, and once you have it, you cannot lose it, because it is eternal life. Not temporary life, or probationary life, but ETERNAL LIFE. John 10:28-29. Hebrews 13:5. John 3:16. Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it. Galatians 3 and 4.

You are not under law because Jesus is the fulfillment of the law. He paid the price for all our sins.

Brother, please watch "rightly dividing Jesus, Peter and Paul" by grace ambassadors. Jesus and the Hebrew epistles did not teach the same thing as Paul. The reason why you know salvation is by grace through faith (faith in Christ's works) is because of Paul. Without Paul's epistles, this wouldn't even be a discussion in the first place because we'd all think salvation is by faith and keeping the law. Today we are to follow Paul's doctrines revealed to him by Christ, not the whole bible because the whole bible isn't speaking to us. Why people believe salvation is by faith and works isn't their fault, they following Jesus according to the 4 gospels and the Hebrew epistles and not according to how he revealed himself to Paul.

I don’t think it’s necessary for someone to keep the law to be saved. I do however think it’s necessary to have a reverence and fear of God to be saved.

saved from what? the whole thing makes no sense. we all die. that is the ultimate reality. it is difficult to come to terms with, but it is a manifestation of maturity.

I have a question. I don’t know if it fits in this video you shared but here it goes. I’ve been listening to Spencer Smith and he talks a lot about today’s contemporary Christian music and how bad it is and the people who make it. I want to know your thoughts on this and if I should feel guilty if I listen to it. He does bring up a lot of good points on it and I’ve tried to stay away from it but I don’t know really how to feel about it especially if I know others who listen to that music.

Interesting that James was of the leadership at Jerusalem that these Judaisers came from. His book is the first book written after Christs death. Could he be teaching works salvation, ahem the Book of James, before he was corrected by Paul? It is the Book of James that Calvi ism and Anilhism have derived their theology from.

No, James never taught works salvation in his epistle. He was the brother of Christ. Do you think that family was capable of believing or teaching a false gospel? Mary, his mother, birthed God in the flesh, the Savior. People are teaching this because they don't know how to resolve what James was teaching with what Paul was teaching. The reason is because they don't understand the epistle was written to believers. His epistle is not evangelistic to the lost, but instructional for the saved. Not to "prove' their salvation, but to make their faith in Christ productive.

Jesus very much fulfilled the law in that he loved us and died for us. A person should trust in Him for the payment of their sin, then very much choose to serve Him. Thanks! - Trent

Salvation by faith on finished work of Jesus Christ and saved once for all.. BUT When Comes to Christian life law need to live . Moral Law is Holy which needs Believer to know what is right and wrong for Christian life but By Holy spirit help us to obey Law to glorify God Am I right way? Pastor

Well we should live according to the standard God sets. We ultimately fulfill the law through love. If you love someone, then you won’t kill them. You want the best for them. Walking in the Spirit (fruit of the Spirit is love…) is what the believer needs to do. This is how we obey God and fulfill the law. We should not beat ourselves over the head with legalistic standards to no profit. God has standards, but he showed us grace first. We live according to that grace. - Trent

Nobody is “saved” until Jesus says welcome into my kingdom after they have passed successfully through the final judgment! Don’t kid yourself folks…

Salvation happens positionally the moment you believe in Jesus’ payment for your sin. You are no longer condemned, and you are passed from death to life - John 5:24. The judgment for the believer will be based upon works to earn rewards. This judgment is not to determine if you earn salvation or not. - Trent

Sorry brother the keys to the kingdom were given to Peter, and if you understand scripture you would understand what exactly that means. Nowhere is sola scriptura the final arbiter of salvation contrary to popular belief! And by whose authority do you promote your premise? I stand on 2000 years of tradition and authority of the Holy Roman church which Christ established to refute agents of unknowing like yourself…you may be a great person however your religious knowledge is flawed and misleading at best. Have a great season of Lent and reflection!

Might want to read scripture. If you are a believer you are already in The Book of Life. Only those who do not believe will be judged from the books. Revelation 20:12 KJV "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

Jesus said, when one has believed, they have passed death unto life, and shall nit come into condemnation. So, yes, they are saved as soon as they believe. Don't kid yourself. John 5:24 King James Version 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
