The M4 is arguably one of the most consistent weapons in Pavlov VR. But is it the best?

you dont need to grab the charging handle on a reload from empty, you can just mag in and then press the mag release/ bolt release again

True, you dont even need to pull the charge handle at all, unless you need to chamber a round and the bolts closed for whatever reason. I grab it bc it feels faster to me then hitting my bolt release button again

You can also seal slap the bolt catch/stop on the left above the mag. My preferred empty reload method.

I’ve always taken a liking to this weapon due to its simplicity, however I usually grab a holo or a 4x on it

I know some people that like the holo for sure. The Acog is used less unless its really long range engagements, which you dont see much in SnD.

@@YellowHat07 SnD is very tactical but it seems a bit hyped up too much, just go on a killing spree on a 30v30 war mode or something 👌, either way, I often use the 4x on the back of the scoping area and use the gun like it has a canted sight on it, very versatile and underrated to work with

great vid. m4 also has a huge mag-acceptance-zone or whatever you want to call it. for me, right now, it is the fastest gun to reload. do you have to use the charging handle ? it used to be that you could cock it with the a button on rift. maybe it's changed, i rarely empty an entire mag before reloading. i'd be interested in hearing more about sights vs. irons for specific guns. i almost never buy the rds bc the irons are quite good but i know others do. maybe it's just personal taste more than something objectively evaluable

You can use a dominant hand bolt release (despite it being on the magwell, but whatever)

Only on a dry reload, and if anything you just click it. The only time you have to actually pull the charge handle is if you need to chamber a round. I meant to talk about iron sights more, the M4's are very good and often I dont buy Red Dots unless I really have the extra $. You can do just fine with the M4 Irons and an angled grip! i thought i knew a good bit about pavlov till i found that there are actual RECOIL PATTERNS in pavlov and i never tried to properly compensate for them

Yeah and all of them are different in their own ways. The recoil patterns are most similar to the ones of CSGO and Valorant

My criteria for a gun, if it can pull off enough shots in a second to kill someone with only foot shots. 13 shots a second and 10 shots to kill in the foot.

It's not the best it just fits the balance between ease of use and effectiveness like how the AUG used to do before the nerf,something like the AK-47 or revolver with a ton more damage is always gonna be better in the hands of someone who can make up for it's flaws with practice

Of course! I mean the M4 is basically the best all around gun though. Some things will out class it depending on the situation, but its never a bad gun to have.

M4 is a jack of all trades, it can be picked up by just about anyone and be used with some effectiveness, but its skill ceiling is low when compared to other rifles. (Im an ak dude, cant get enough of those head shots.)

Depending on ping, you just gotta hold your magazine grab button for a little bit longer. Personally it does feel a bit slower but not drastically slower, just gotta be more precise with where youre putting the mag.

I dont really get on how to actually properly aim on the ak without visor stuff im having a hard time and on the quest when i aim i sometimes get to close to the headset so it messes up tracking

Yes, -150 for red dot and holo, so that would bring kill bonus of m4 to $150 instead of $300. Sorry for the very late reply lol.

You sure you didn't pick up the m16 by chance? M16 is the burst version and M4 is the full auto one. M16 has a longer barrel and is 2300 on the buy wheel. M4 has shorter barrel and is 2700 on the buy wheel.

if you learn how to use the single fire mode with your preferred scope you can literally just eviscerate everybody with headshots galore

Why single fire and make your time to kill really long when you can just 5 round burst, still get a very accurate grouping, and beam people anyways. Unless its super far range (longer range than most Pavlov SND maps), I dont bother with single fire.

It feels so awkward to control recoil in vr In order to keep your vr gun aiming forward your actual hands are pointing to the ground Really immersion breaking for me It makes sense in games like csgo but in vr it is just weird.

I kinda hold my controllers as if I was holding a rifle with a vertical foregrip. Its different for everyone, but I dont think you should have to point your hands to the ground. Maybe try vstock if you havent?

so the nerds have mastered the recoil? I burst and aim, and I shoot for center mass which sucks.. even though that's a more realistic way to shoot. I always wonder how some guys seem to kill me in a split second with the m4 across the map.. When i try to kill someone it usually takes a ton of shots.. even if im hitting them in the chest/neck/head..

Bursting is definitely good, Id recommend learning how to burst in 5 round bursts effectively. Its still basically just a straight line, but for beaming people at far distances its really effective to be able to do so in 5 round bursts.

The m4 is the best for one reason it isn’t, Pavlov can’t have a “best weapon” cuz its a vr game and people aren’t the same amount of accurate. The m4 however dose everything pretty good Fast Accurate High damage Not super big and unwieldy
