You have shown the ONYX to be a tough bike. I was amazed in some situations how it powered you through some tough spots where some bikes without the power would have caused a fall. Of course you showed some good skill keeping the bike upright in certain uneven gully type situations. You kept us on the edge of our seats with this ride - such fun.

Dillon, the Onyx absolutely rocks! Really enjoy your videos, but I feel sorry for the owner of the Onyx you abused today. If that was your bike, that is ok but if you borrowed it for the day to do a video, not so cool. That bike sounded like a bunch of bolts inside a tin can after 5 miles of single track. 50 MPH on the road....awesome! I take care of my stuff and would have normally lent my bike to someone, but after watching this....not going to happen. I do think the Sur Ron is built to handle the stuff you did today. Hope you can get your hands on one of those in the future. Congratulations on your subs increasing. 100k someday??? Like a 1960's or '70s 90cc scrambler... Skinny shocks, antique rear suspension... Just think, little did you know you'd be a Sur Ron convert 4 months later...But it all makes perfect sense. The Sur Ron is modern 125cc dirtbike geometry and suspension. I'm glad I sat on my ass and watched your progression through the ranks of electric minibike to moped to a real. versatile machine (Sur Ron). My dilemma is still that I love my fat tire e-bike with the wimpy 750( -ish, It's a Rad Rover) hub motor, because I need exercise and even at that, lycraheads and other bikers told me cops would write me a ticket for speeding! My how times have changed! Between the pandemic, city counsels letting addicts live legally wherever they wish and George Floyd, I think the police just consider e-heads sailing through red lights at 40mph without a license or registration the least of their problems. Now I want a Sur Ron and I'm not even gonna sweat the legaleze. I moved to Austin so I have no clue if Texans will be as chill as those LA po po's. Only one way to find out. Even though I'd still go on rides where I pedal, I'll skip that Hyper Scorpion, Super 73, ONIX mid stage and just graduate full on the the tool that gets it all done-around town and off the road. Who knew the Chinese could build genuinely good stuff???!!! Now I'm obsessed with Sur Ron videos, even though I've known about Luna Cycles and Sur Rons since 2018. A nice Luna X-1 would be nice for exercise and places where only men. bikes are allowed. But if you can only have one, that Segway or Sur Ron can't be beat.
