I love how it is over built. I WANT it to last a LONG time. I want the Pause to be the next Airstream but for over landing and I hand it down to my grandkids someday

I'm huge into teardrops and square drops. I can't even imagine what a teardrop from pause would be like. It would be absolutely amazing! I can always dream that someday it happens.

I love all these details, so impressive. Disc brakes, at least let it be an option. The fifth wheel setup had them, I can’t imagine they couldn’t do it on the Pause.

Personally, I wouldn't be too concerned with the weight of this suspension. I would think that having weight that low would help improve the stability of the unit and help it stay planted on uneven surfaces.

A little extra weight is always acceptable when it improves durability. (At least that's what I always tell myself when I step on the scale)

I appreciate the open discussion here on the weight of the suspension. I could tell Maynard and Shane were implying that there must be a way to lighten this morride bad boy suspension. I assume the 16.4 will have the same 700 lbs system. Confused on the 1,000 mile (25 years) average life of a trailer. I must be having a senior moment here as I put 3 000 miles on my trailer driving it home in 3 days. I wonder when the engineer was designing this system they forgot to use the ccc and dry weight of a pause trailer instead of the 15 ton ccc of a semi trailer? It does seem over built.

@@bartman1857 The mileage testing he is referring to is a track that they run the trailer on. The track has lots of bumps and washboard with obstacles. They run it over it constantly for a 1000 miles which is supposed to simulate 25 years of a normal trailer use.

Wait...so like the infamous Lippert axles, the factory does not align the wheels? Wow! The price of the trailer should mean "the customer does the alignment." I call BS. He slipped that tidbit in pretty well.

I would answer the headline of this video as an unequivocal no. There is a little company in Australia called Bruder that far surpasses everything else on the market. The Bruder suspension is both load sharing and non load sharing on their dual axel and you just don't find that anywhere else. Add to that the external reservoir shocks...two on each wheel...and all the rest of it Bruder takes the win easily. Morryde and Cruisemaster also make amazing trailer suspensions but the answer to the video headline is easily Bruder. So why use a rivet instead of a weld? From what I know from experience between the two; the welds have always been Absolutely 100% Stronger than using rivets!

I would rather have a well built trailer with less bling...something that can last. But the $$$ are a bit steep as it it now

Terrible videography. Spinning around too much. Panning too much. Wobbly. No long shots on key components. Get someone who has a steady hand, please. Moving too fast so we cannot see what the speaker is referring to. The audio is however easy to hear and follow along. That's my 2 cents worth.

Bentley it must be the lack of PPE and drinking diet mountain dew on these factory tours that makes you say that. You have to appreciate his enthusiasm, though? Now I understand why these pauses are so heavy.

My opinion from the faces he makes while people are talking is like he is there but thinking of something else, no mountain dew shit in my house ! I enjoy the product and the videos just not a fan of him as the spokesperson

How many RV distributor owners know much at all about the trailers they sell. Just the specs and options in the brochure. Shane is not a mfging engineer but he does understand the “guts” of the trailers he sells and is very open about the good and bad of each one. He is also extremely experienced in the use of the trailers. Stopped by ROA this past winter while in Park City with my Airstream Basecamp 20X. Shane actually showed me around and after the tour spent about 20-30 minutes with me on his computer outlining my route and places I should visit on the next 2 legs of my trip to Zion and then on the Moab. Super nice guy. By the way, the Basecamp is not an off road trailer. It does have a 3” lift and off road tires, but no articulating hitch or other true off-road features.
