Awareness is the key. If awareness or total attention is present, actions are right. If awareness is absent, actions are wrong.

Yep well said, all abhorrent actions are born from unconsciousness, never can wrong action occur in the presence of pure awareness, awareness is all, but absolutely, not as a concept

You may be perfectly aware and still do the wrong thing. Because between this awareness and right action there can be the interference of desire, fear, guilt, loneliness. Then there is an internal conflict, two or more opposing forces pulling in different directions. So intelligent situational awareness alone is not sufficient. There has to be understanding of one's Psyche, and therefore integrity and coherence of the Self. So when you know clearly what the right thing to do is, but some internal force comes along and impedes or contradicts, watch that thing intently and go into it. That is the fragmentation of the Self.
