that spot called states ave was the spot of the 1983 op pro surfing contest and the Hawaiian tropic swimsuit contest all the surf pros were there august 1983 for 5 days i cant remember who won either wes laine or buddy lhamas maybe gary Elkerton aka kong those were the days that spot used to really pump it doesnt break like it used to g j kermitas had a surfer magazine photo shoot and article done at that very spot surfer mag 1983 his girlfriend robin campbell won the hawaiian tropic swimsuit contest at the op pro 1983 we had alot of surfing talent on absecon island who surfed all that spot
