I have mine for years. Absolutely love it. So many features have been added over the years. One of my favorites is high scores scrolling features before game starts.

I agree @therexershow I plan on getting the LCD version! Nothing against the LED, just love the high resolution ability of having the actual marquee images from the old school arcade games on there! I can picture those great TMNT or X-Men marquees in HD right now!

Nothing enhances my arcade better than my active marquee I have. It adds SO much especially with the animated marquees.

I have this for both my Arcade Legends and Arcade Legends Pinball. On my arcade, I have both the LED AND the LED produced from Pixelcade (and Al who created them) and it is EPIC!! They take my arcades to the next level. 100% worth it to me.

I was definitely hesitating on all digital marquee installations because I had issues in the past with low quality images and stretched artwork being part of the experience. The dot display seems to eliminate this issue. Could be worth a try. Thanks for your input, Ralph!

I'm with you RR...at 1st glance...i was like...Im str8...but after watching your review...I will consider purchasing one of their Marquees...it IS COOL...I believe I'd prefer the LCD one tho. But dope review...Dope product

Cool review. The guys at Pixelcade are great. I provided some iiRcade assistance for them earlier this year. It's a fantasy but I hope a solution like this comes to market for my Pac-Man Pixel Bash commercial edition. However, I've had the BitLCD for my Legends Ultimate in the box for over a year. Lastly, Moto Roader is the GOAT TG-16 game.

For my marquee solution, I ended up buying an LG ultrawide ($100) that had the same length as my cabinet top and mounted it on top of the cabinet; added some siding to integrate it with the rest of the cabinet. The plus side is that when it’s turned off, I still have a static marquee under the ultrawide marquee for display I just couldn’t see myself spending more on the marquee than almost the entire cabinet spending up to that point lol More power to those who do though, it does look clean

Pixel marquees are really cool looking to me, if I didnt have the Bitlcd's on my ALU's I would go that route, I think I would dig these with the ALP's or on the wall, its a cool and different look to it, congrats. The pinball function is super cool.

The LED version is cool, but the LCD is EPIC. I had the LED version for about a year before the LCD one came out.

I haven't seen the PixelCade LCD version but I have an LCD marquee on my Xtreme Gaming Cabinet and love it. I think it just depends on preferance but I think both are cool. I guess for a more closer to authentic look the LCD would provide that better. Thanks so much for watching!

Great video Retro Ralph! Appreciate the honestly here about how you weren't that interested in it, but after seeing it in person it changed your mind! I'm in the market for a HyperMarquee, although while the @Pixelcade LED does look cool for that classic/retro look, I am planning on getting a LCD marquee when the time is right! Love the idea of these that they change with whatever system you are on or game you are playing and it looks great scrolling through that @Arcade-One build! I'll post a video of mine as well on my channel whenever I end up getting mine. Keep it up with the great videos Retro Ralph!

A lot of people in the Arcade-One group love their LED versions and that is great that both styles exist and the customer can get what works for them and their budget. Thanks again for sharing! I gotta have it! I think this would actually make me play digital pinball a heck of a lot more. As soon as I get my settlement, I’m gonna be buying that same arcade and I’m going to install this as well without a doubt.

Man, I really love my LCD Marquis on my ALU, I've been looking at the pixel cade for my ALU mini and just can't pull the trigger. I can't let go of the light bright effect, especially when it's so near the LCD on its big brother. I think I'm going to have to still hold out for the LCD version for the mini, or at least somebody to produce a board that I can use the marquee style LCD I already have that would fit the mini.

Ive had this LED version since it came out for my RRM/Arcade-One combo and I haven't looked back. I LOVE it and don't feel a need to get the LCD. Al is SUPER helpful and is easily accessible if you have any setup issues. Also very easy to add missing games/systems. I just grab a marquee pic off the internet, edit slightly in the simple MS Paint app and make it the standard 128x32 size. File needs to be same title as the rom in the correct corresponding folder.

I don’t have a lot of room so I like the 3/4 1ups. The only xl one I have is the KI Pro which I didn’t build yet.

Makes me wonder if they will make a model for real pinball machines like Color DMD or LCD to DMD. I would like to upgrade my Last Action Hero and Lethal Weapon 3 machines to color DMD but man its expensive and would like a more cost effective option.. .. Posted my unboxing of my new Led Zeppelin machine today on my channel as well.. I am living the extra gameplay and achievement chasing woth the insider connected at home.. brings some more ways to play and more things to chase for the home use machine..loving it!

No Cap I was the first one to put the LCD screen in my arcade one up when the street fighter came out. I was using big box and I was using the LCD Marquee before anybody. Nobody gave me props but it doesn't matter because I know I was a first one to do it okay I did it when arcade one up first came out.

I was getting ready to bitch. It doesn't support Launchbox/BigBox!! ----Turns out it does. It won't fit on my A1UP Blitz cabinet!!! ----Turns out it does. Well shit. I may have to pick up one of these now. I'm torn on the LED/LCD. Same with the color DMD displays for pinball machines, it is all about personal preferences. On pinball I prefer the LED, but for my MAME I would probably choose LCD. Sucks the marquee would cost more than my entire cabinet....

Its a cool upgrade. Although... I just question why do a digital upgrade like this when it is into the same size and style profile as a standard marquee? If its a standard marquee size, leave it original and classic. I designed and built my cabinets to run a more modern, effective size to makee the marquee area pop.

I like the Vpin but not tables that shift the images as you shoot as it really loses the real pinball look and feel.

What happened to your "WELCOME BACK!!! (Growl)" ? Maybe you like it because it looks like Atari 2600 resolution. Does it work with Launchbox? is there a lot of setup? I like the LCD marquee, But I think they are over priced compared to you can get a 65 inch TV for the same price or build another entire game cabinet. I guess some people have no money sense :)

Big blue was well.... too big... haha. Good eye seeing it replaced with SSF2. I need to do an arcade update video soon, I have changed out a lot of my collection over the last 6 months or so.

I much prefer the LED version. I have it on my ALU and it looks fantastic. No desire to "upgrade" to an LCD version.

it reminds me of LED spinner hud caps on a car... looks a bit getto to me. But ok... It does spice things up. I want to see a Godzilla topper that can breath fire... Hook up a propane tank or something... That would be so cool.

Maybe a blast of CO2 with an LED to light the fog ..at the very least you have a fire extinguisher on your machine and that's better than burning down your house! Lol

These type of monster IKEA style cab are def for a diff niche group usually older people that can afford it. They bring zero nostalgia to me as the cab looks like something IKEA would done with no nostalgia shape of an original arcade cab.

I agree with you, multicades don't check the "Nostalgia checkbox" and for me, they're not a replacement to my collection. But they do augment my collection since I can't have every original arcade game, so it's a complement to them IMO. (despite their shortcomings)... does that make sense?

Why would you pay for something you didn't like? If it was sent for review and you didn't like it (and didn't want to do a review), couldn't you return it, instead? Or better yet, just do the review to let you audience know. I don't know, it's easy saying this from my couch.

I should have elaborated but if I commit to doing a review and the vendor sends it to me, I feel an obligation to do so. However, there are times when I just can't get behind the product for one reason or another. If that happens, I will usually say I don't want to do the review and return it. But there are times when I just offer to buy it for the trouble of them sending it.... I have done that several times, actually. I don't say yes to many product reviews these days though, I like doing things on my own timelines and unless I'm VERY excited about a product, I usually don't bother. I felt this one was complimentary to the RecRoomMasters cabinet, so I said "what the heck". I'm glad I did because I 100% judged a book by its cover on this one and was pleasantly surprised. My main goal with a product showcase, review or whatever people want to call it, is to be able to offer something to the community that's actually GOOD. There's too many "reviews" for the sake of doing the reviews vs. stuff people are genuinely passionate about. So my reluctance to just say "yes" to everything is really so the things I do say "yes" to, are products I think add value to the community. I had to learn this from making mistakes on KZfaq early on, some people just say "yes" because it's "cool" to receive free stuff. What they will find out is doing everything eventually ruins your reputation and puts your integrity in question. Most figure this out, but some don't.... Anyhow, that's probably too much information. I'm not sure if that helps to understand how my weird brain works (and believe me, it's weird)... LOL.
