Is This Biden's Escape Hatch?

In a 14-second video announcement that required five jump cuts, Joe Biden announced this morning that he will participate in two debates against Donald Trump ahead of the November election. Before my show started at noon, each candidate had accepted debate invitations from CNN on June 27th and ABC on September 10th.
While some on the left are cheering Biden’s jabs at Trump, many are ignoring the implications of this specific debate schedule. The Biden team pressed for a historically early debate schedule that sidestepped the Presidential Debate Commission and specifically requested no live audience. The June debate precedes the Democratic National Convention meaning Biden could theoretically step aside if his debate performance is exceedingly poor while most of the nation is focused on the July 4th weekend.

I have a feeling this debate will never happen because as it gets closer they'll make up some excuse for Biden not to do it

I actually like the idea of no live audience. The candidates always try and get in that one 'gotcha' soundbite that the audience will cheer and the media will highlight for thext 12-24 hours.

I think that the Lincoln-Douglas debates lasted all summer. We can do that.

I noticed you had some cut-editing in this video as well; was that done for emphasis? At any rate, that 14 second short by Joe Biden should've been done in one take - that's just one thing America needs: a President that can think on his feet and get through more than fourteen seconds before the director yells "CUT!" He falls short on every account.

Can tell there's a lot of editing going on in that video. A lot of editing even before you said cut.
