Hiya Richard Brilliant Channel Great work. I loved travelling to Hartlepool with Carlisle. The only problem being, not enough tickets! Victoria park, wonderful! Yes the flood light pylons look great. The sight of them would really set the pulse racing.

Great review. What's weird is Peterlee is only a few miles north, population of 23,000 and they don't have a senior mens team, though Peterlee Town run a number of youth teams. A town of that size should aspire to National League North level. I guess Horden and Easington Colliery cover the town to an extent. Is there a larger town in the country without a senior side?

There used to be a Northern League team - Peterlee Newtown. They played at Eden Lane Playing Fields - which is now the home of Peterlee & Horden Rugby Club. I'm sure there are other large teams sans senior team. I'll have a think 😁

Played on grayfields 45 years ago with my golden flatts team mates Very good memories of our infants school team and our captain ( veno ) mark venus who went on to have a great career in football

Been to hartlepool a few times, its a alright little place, much better than some places around the north east. Local people seem friendly enough. They love their town and football club, although most people i met were sunderland and newcastle fans

Tbf from 2006-2019 they were just called "Hartlepool". They rose through the local leagues and have no connection to to Hartlepool United FC

Seaton Crew SENIORS, are they over 65 do they take their tablets at half time Seaton Crew I THINK were originally Hartlepool Town again Wearside League then Northern League, then ceaced I went to Hartlepool a few months ago as it was one of the grounds I wanted to check off my list, and it hasn't changed at all the stands haven't moved I was there on a pissy down Saturday V Newcastle Univerity was a horrendous match I wish I hadn't of bothered. but I did as it was one I wanted to check off my list You are right about BWOB as that was previously occupied by them (Boys Welfare Old Boys) the top flight of the Wearside League, the league today has three divisions, but when BWOB and my club were in the Wearside League there were only two

Haha no, it just means they have kids teams and this is their adult/senior team/ There is a team in the Northern League - Prudhoe YC Seniors as well. Actually that name might mess with you as well cos it's literally Prudhoe Youth Club Seniors 😆

@@footballexplorer99 I know about them there on the division below Shields, there's a Under 18s that act as our reserve side in the FA Youth Cup called New Hartley juniors . i would greaf them just the same Half times comes and its time to do yi home work or have ya tea, so the ref picks up the ball as its his and hell beout after his tea.

Cheers, it's nice to hear from someone who's passionate about local football. Hartlepool Town, I think played at the Mayfair Centre (just down from current Seaton Carew ground), and then had to groundshare - I think with Ferryhill when they still existed. As for FC Hartlepool, the secretary did say that in a month or 2 it will look totally different.when they've moved the stands.

This video is more about the newer non-league team FC Hartlepool. But yeah I remember you playing striker for Pools in the 80s! Got some other videos on here you might like. Tow Law and other NL clubs.

@@footballexplorer99 They could have come up with something different more catchy that perhaps reflects the town's history. Putting FC at the beginning of a club name gives it a ring of a phoenix club or team formed by disgruntled fans of the existing club
