This video is just ridiculous. Meghan Markle seems to be just spewing out buzz words one after another without even words in between. I think if we right out the sentences they would not even follow grammar rules.
I found it a part annoying and part funny. Annoying because it saddens me that this thoughtless way of speaking is a "thing" but funny because - it just is funny.

I am a decade older than M and everything she says was irrelevant by the time I was in my 20s which was in the 90s. Now there's a conversation to be had about the progress we were stopped from making because of the false promises and lies that were peddled ( pay gap etc) but she doesn't address any modern issues. It's all girl power one minute and boys should be taking care of girls the next. 12 year old level of development.

Her father kept her in all private schools throughout her k-12, and then paid all her expenses to Northwestern university. A far cry from the poor girl Meghan tries to sell us on today.

Totally. I'd like to be in her head when she's giving these babbling, painfully anodyne speeches because who EXACTLY does she think she's speaking to?! If it's a self-serving exercise where she likes to hear the sound of her voice then I'm suspecting she only perceives the audience as an abstraction, rather than very specific types of individual humans or a mix of individuals. Wouldn't you love to know who she thinks she's actually addressing, what she's picturing in her mind's eye? What qualifies her? What's given her this monstrous self-regard. At the age she met Harry, take a good look at her actual CV and real-world accomplishments. Painfully, painfully underwhelming with nothing to recommend her, yet she sees herself as some highly deserving professional of some unspecified area of expertise.

We never graduated, we finished school. Whether it be in 3rd Year or 5th Year High School, we finished and then either went into the work force or went into Tertiary education where you then graduated from your chosen subjects and received a diploma or a degree. When I hear of graduation ceremonies in Kindergarten, it makes a mockery of the students who have gone to the very end, with a lot of blood sweat and tears, would definitely see it as the start of their career.

I was a teacher who eventually ran a business with many employees. Not once did I think I was special or my business was special because I was a woman. I was raised by a mother who could do anything and always supported me in my ideas. I think what bothers me the most is that we are starting to put people in boxes and it’s not natural to live that way. We can’t have “ black business “ people of color business “ women business “ it’s just a way of promoting division not inclusion. Inclusion would be everyone.

I agree. Meghan is always saying something to the tune of "We need more women in leadership." How about we need more qualified people in leadership - men or women? Why don't we put people in positions based on merit rather than sex, race, etc? And I don't believe we should support a business just because it's women-owned or black-owned. How about we support it because of the quality of its product/service? I am a "woman of color" and I would take no pride in someone supporting my business just because I'm a woman or I'm an asian.

This is so interesting and I really like your commentary. Her problem is she's had no real experience in addressing issues like inequality, the environment, mental health. She hasn't studied these issues at all; she doesn't have a degree in environmental studies, psychology, women's studies, leadership training. She's has no experience in working in any of these areas. She has merely picked up these buzz words a few years ago as self promotion to get herself some speaking gigs (which, apart from Indianapolis at the Marriott, didn't get her any).

She lied, shocker. This speech was yet another PR promo video she made to request invitations to speak for ANYTHING (political/youth/blm) but specifically graduations. It did not work. She was NEVER invited to speak for her high school but she did record & publish a video that her high school chose to ignore. These recordings were filmed from Thirsty Tyler Perry's LA home during the covee pandemic. At that time, A-list speakers were invited to record virtual graduation/commencement videos that were shared with graduates around the world. Fortunately Megain was NEVER asked to join that special platform so she created this PATHETIC promo video to request that she be INCLUDED in the cool kids group. Another FAIL.

I don't know if people don't remember this but her old school didn't ask her to do this. This was during the lockdown and her school had an online graduation. Their twitter page website didn't mention Meghan. The principal gave the speech and explained that there wouldn't be a guest speaker. Within a day or 2 Meghan had an African American magazine publish this video as of she had actually addressed the graduation class. Don't know if the girls ever saw this bit the Principal confirmed she did not speak at the graduation. It became obvious she had wanted to but couldn't get them to let her and decided to create that impression so she could use it for PR.

I like you and your cross between cynicism and education on how to deliver a vacuuous speech vs a productive and strategy. My (oops, look at me,,,) background in media is a long time ago and I would have liked to use you and your observations in traing and public speaking for clients and staff..
