In this video, we want to take you to a local eatery right here in our own county, that we believe features the best pizza in the state of NC, with probably the most peaceful and serene atmosphere in which to eat it.

…also, meant to say that your friend was very talented. LOVED the painting! Hope you plan to get it framed. My husband comes from a family of pickers and singers and plays the guitar and sings so we enjoyed his solo so much. Can’t beat someone just sitting around picking and singing…love it! So sorry for your loss🙏

I love finding old stores like this, what a surprise to find the restaurant inside. It looks like y’all got there just in time,it filled up fast.Your friend sounded like a very special person. This makes me want pizza for supper, it looks good and cheesy just the way I like.

Like the NC State hoodies! Definitely wouldn't expect great pizza in the old country store when you first walked in. The garlic knots looked like they would be very good. Interesting that they had both styles of pizza at this restaurant. Chicago style pizza is very filling. I always go for thin crust...especially Grimaldi's.😄 🍕 Always enjoy those unique out of the way places. Great video!

Thank you for watching. It really is surprising, how good the pizza here is. And yes, Shawnasi bought us those matching hoodies right after surprising me with tickets to the NC State/UNC game, back in 2013, in Raleigh. I got to watch the Pack run the Heels out of the building. What a night!

Looks delicious. Looks can be deceiving for sure . We also live in the boonies, sticks, mountains ⛰ middle of nowhere haha. And these are the best hidden treasures if you can find them !

Yes, you'd never know by looking at it, that it would be a great pizza place. But it's the best in this area. Even though they have other items in the menu, literally everybody that was in there, was getting pizza.

Yes, both are great. We lean towards the thin crust, but you can't go wrong with either.

Drive till you need a haircut!😂It must really be out in the boonies! You crack me up with some of the things you say. Love your’s and Shawnasi’s humorous and loving personalities. Y’all make such a cute couple! That pizza looked delicious, especially the deep dish! We love ‘hole in the wall’ places like this and if we’re ever in that area we’ll be sure to check it out! This is my second video from you nice folks. I love your energy. I tent camp in Arkansas mainly. I will be at C.O.E Park. JFK Park to be excact. Very busy park. Went there 40 years ago. Just started back. Different time now post covid. Still love it. Below the dam on greers ferry lake. Its in the gully where the trout swim. Love your content.

Sorry to hear that it closed. We were there in 2014. It was a very strange day, in that it actually snowed and covered the ground on Halloween.

If there is a campground out that way, I'm not aware of where it is. The drive from town isn't really too bad. Yes, it is a curvy road, but it's only about 10 miles from the main highway. And there may be a campground out there somewhere, but I just don't know where it is.

They have more cat food inventory than Walmart and all 6-7 fro ery stores in my town! Shoot! And right down the road… I want to move there! That’s so cool! Id be going there all the time. What a gem!

Oh wow! You need to frame thst in a bar wood frame. I think it would be best to have a copy made and hang in the store. Thst is amazing!

We've eaten there before and had burgers. They were very good. Didn't know they were known for pizza. Last time we went by, they weren't open and I was afraid they had closed up. Will have to go back and try the pizza!

Just go up to Cheeks Crossroads and get on 268. Stay on it until the road forks, and you will stay to the left. I think it is even called Buffalo Cove Road. That pizza is some of the best.

I live in Granite, but my dad's side of the family, the Holland side, is all from Wilkes County. Was your mom related to any Hollands from Wilkes County?

@@NCMemoryMakers i don't know. I only remember meeting my great grandmother Holland a couple times and other than one cousin on that side of the family I didn't know them. What high school did you go to and what year did you graduate

@Rita Laloge I started off my high school at South Caldwell, in Hudson. But I ended up switching to Tabernacle. Christian School in Hickory, and that's where I graduated from.
