Maggie Valley Snow Weekend!! (Snowfall, Losing Drone, Elk Walking Through Town, etc.)

We spent 2 nights in Maggie Valley, and got to enjoy a snowfall, see an elk walking in town, and spent some of Saturday looking for a lost drone.

This Florida girl, that now lives in Alabama, appreciates y’all so much. My parents took us to Maggie Valley every summer for 2 weeks. We stayed at the Rocky Waters motel, now Route 19 inn. Anyway I love Maggie Valley so much. I will go by myself occasionally. I really wanted to go this same weekend y’all were there. But I love you guys videos. Thanks for sharing!!!

The Creator is an amazing decorator! So beautiful! I am grateful to have been graced with some of that beauty in October at Newfound Gap. Just breathtaking! 😊...the Elk are so beautiful, hope it found its way to somewhere. Yes, very fortunate you found your drone 😊

Yes, He certainly is! It's a picture that no artist could paint. And I remember that October snow very well, from watching some of the other videos I saw on it. Wish I could have been there, but glad you got to experience it.

We live in Elizabethton Tn so not far away but we haven’t been that way… Snow is beautiful!! Cracked me up, you can tell when she made that snow angel she hadn’t thought about getting back up… I absolutely love snow!! It’s beautiful there. I can’t drive in tho so I envy you guys being out… beautiful video

I'm so glad you got your drone back! The snow is beautiful. But I think everyone is sick of it this week. These frigid cold temperatures hasn't allowed for any melting and it has stuck around for way too long! lol! We didn't have any snow at my house.....but 30 miles up the road they had over 4 inches. These are some crazy weather events we are experiencing here lately. The snow always reminds me of the scripture that says ......"though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow" (Isaiah 1:18). I'm always reminded of that scripture when I see a fresh snowfall. I may have to go to Maggie Valley the next time we have snow. But for now.....I'm looking forward to this thaw we're heading into right now. 😉 Glad you guys had an awesome trip! 👍

It was a great trip. Snow is something I can't get enough of. We haven't had a measurable snowfall here at the house, in 2 years now. We used to get at least one or two every year.

My husband and I went to Maggie Valley for Christmas and it’s now our favorite vacation spot. It’s beautiful! We love watching y’all’s videos! It’s hard to find couples that love Jesus but I’m glad I came across y’all’s videos. God bless you guys!

Gatlinburg is just not the same. I used to go there alot in the 80's and it has changed so much. I enjoyed your video so much. I love snow. I wish we would get some snow in the Gastonia area. We are due a good snow. This is so funny, I love to watch it snow, I watched it snow on resortcams at Beech Mountain. LOL That is just how much I love to watch it snow. I am so glad you got your drone back. Thank you for sharing your snow adventures I really enjoyed them.

Oh Wow, thanks for taking us with you to see the snow in the Smokies especially the Maggie Valley and Soco Gap area. My favorite area since my youth , and at my age it seems forever. Lol.. I'm not a big crowd lover so my pace is Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Bryson City, Murphy, Nantahala. We used to love Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. I feel it's so commercialized now that I don't feel the surreal feeling the mountains use to give me in certain areas. To each their own lol, I suppose😊 Love the small towns and their history and keeping the old Days and Ways special. Again thanks so much, great video!!⛄☃️❄️

Yes, Gatlinburg certain has changed, as has Pigeon Forge. We still go there, but we are doing more and more on the NC side of the Park. Thank you so much for watching.

This is honestly the first time we've ever seen one in Maggie Valley. There are a lot of them over in Cataloochee Valley, but we've never seen one in downtown Maggie Valley before. We have seen some in downtown Cherokee.

Where do I need to go to look at the web cams? I ❤ Maggie Valley,North Carolina. My family loved staying at the Jonathan Creek Inn. We never stayed in the villa’s in the back. It been years since we have been there. ❤❤

You can just Google webcams for whatever town you are looking for. You can also Google the Newfound Gap webcam, for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. That shows what conditions are like at 5,000 ft of elevation. The one from Maggie Valley shows the festival grounds. There won't be any snow on the ground in that one.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you like a lot of shops and a lot of bustling activity, go with Gatlinburg. If you like something scenic, but more laid back and relaxing, go with Maggie Valley.

It used to snow at least twice per winter. We got almost nothing last year, and have had nothing this year. Not sure why. We could always count on at least one big one, and possibly two.

@@robinblocker9892 Lenoir is much lower elevation than Grandfather Mountain. The higher elevations get much more.
