Yeah, both of you are right. JB is an interesting city. My youngest sister and family stay there. Regarding those mooncakes, they are always cut and shared. We don't eat the whole mooncake as it's quite filling. Mooncakes symbolize family reunion. Well, the Sultan of Johor will be our next Agong next year. Thanks for the premiere, Steve lvana.

@@ReefearEapearAs if they would admit this "love" lol. Even their random taxi drivers will sht on Malaysia whenever they heard their customer is a foreigner living in Malaysia (few Japanese friends had the same experience. They obviously expected my friends to join them bashing Malaysia, failing to understand that most people aren't like Singaporeans; they don't bother going and living in a country they hate and feel so much hatred due to superiority complex). As a Malaysian, it's best we don't claim they love our infrastructure or anything bona fide (yes they love stealing our oil subsidy, but that's not in good faith anyway) since they themselves won't admit it outloud, making us look syok sendiri claiming it.

Old Sultan’s Palace in Johor Bahru (now Sultan Ibrahim Building), c.1941. When the Japanese army conquered Johor Bahru on 31 December 1942, commander of the invading forces Lt. General Tomoyuki Yamashita used the palace as his headquarters to plan for the attack on Singapore. It was chosen as the headquarters because it was the tallest building in Johor Bahru and had a commanding view over the Singapore island.

@@ArnoldPranks The Sultan Ibrahim building was never a palace. It was constructed as a government administrative building by the British. It was occupied by the Japanese but so too was Istana Bukit Serene, the home of the last sultan. It too has a tall tower, and given that it sits on higher ground, most likely has greater elevation

The prior Sultans also have a good relationship with the British rule where they gifted each other presents. Also not all state have Sultan, only 9 of them. Heres a quick quiz for you Steve, Can you guess the 9 states? Speaking of JDT Football team, they're the equivalent of PSG, Real Madrid of Malaysia. Malaysian League isn't as hot as it once were before covid but the JDT Matchday experience is pretty great. From the fixture the earliest home game is Nov 2nd. Before the Legoland developed JB is almost a skipped city between Spore n malacca/KL like ipoh but now hopefully things getting better. Lido beach was gone n at one time danga bay is a happenings leisure site. JB is international yet quite historical city maybe a river cruise through Johore Straits like those in Chao Phraya Bangkok is the most interesting touristic activity to do.

As a singaporean who goes to jb for leisure often, there isnt really anything special about the muticulturalism and buildings of worship being close together. Apart from the usual places in singapore like sri mariaman temple in the middle of chinatown, and the respective cultural districts, in many heartland areas, mosques, temples and churches are right next to each other and you can have hindu, buddhist, taoists and traditional chinese deities shrines just hanging around hawker centres. Thai buddhism shrines are also very common at hawker centres with mookata stalls and thai food stalls

Where else you gonna built all that, then. So weird wanting to sht on Malaysia having all that on purpose when the reason is different; we are not a city state like you, we don't have to build them so close and cluster them altogether for the sake of ease of policing. I really don't understand you people who put down Malaysia at every chance yet still goes here in order to afford your lifestyle. If my country is too expensive for me to afford normalcy and leisure to the point i have to cross to a supposed cursed ghetto land, i know i wouldn't be this cocky.
