One of the biggest highlight about Windows 11 was launched 3 months ago and a huge focus was given towards touch screens and how Windows works. There are way too many fundamental changes in terms of the user interface - but is it actually good???

you can open task mgr by right click on windows start logo (or long press with touch) and select task manager

Had genuinely not thought of W11's GUI redesign from a touchscreen perspective, yet it still seems half-baked compared to 10 as you said. It's funny: it's a little like watching a Linux distro try to mature but everyone in the team has different ideas of how things should work.

It's taken MSFT years to migrate away from the Windows 7 style, but my favorite control panels are still the ones from 7. NCPA.cpl (network), mmsys.cpl (sound), cannot beat those.

Funny that you mentioned Linux distros. I installed Ubuntu and that dock and top-sided menu bar are so much better than what Windows has done here.

@@technologyanimals Agreed, the newer ones seem far too bloaty and "user friendly", which is good for most users, but definitely annoying for those who are used to the information density of control panel.

what I really want from the win11 tablet experience is haptic feedback on supported devices or at least light sounds indicating the actions on screen like on apple devices. I've been thinking about what feels missing form the experience and I think this is what it is. There's really just no feedback whatsoever and it's pretty jarring especially these days when basically all phones have haptics baked into the UI

Hey bro, would you recommend this tablet now? During Lazada sales, can go as low as RM2000. I am just looking to watch videos(NF/Disney/Prime/KZfaq) and some light productivity like web browsing/MS Office/light photo editing. I currently share a Mi Pad 5 with my wife and its really awesome for watching videos and browsing the net but was a total let down when comes to productivity. For example, during one of my trips, the SD Card in my camera filled up so I wanted to transfer the photos from the SD Card to an external HDD using a USB hub. This simple action was kinda complicated on an android device. Some file managers wont detect the card reader/HDD and while some did but not at the same time. It was really frustrating and wasted a lot of my time. That's why I came to the conclusion I need to get a Windows tablet. 😅😅

Are you tight on a budget? If you are, then I don't know what's better for you though. This tablet is indeed still functioning okay, but photo editing will still struggle. I mean, gotta have patience. Make sure to get 8GB RAM.

@JasonDevadason not at all.. of course this is not meant for video rendering and stuff, but for browsing, preparing documents, netflix and youtube - I'm so happy that i bought one, light, gorgeous oled screen, the speakers are so loud, i only set it at 30% 😁

How did you install chromeOS or any other OS when you can't plug in a usb? Can we use an OTG to plug the usb?

I'm planning to buy it, but emmc version with 4GB ram is available in stock. Can I purchase it? I'm a light user, pretty much multimedia consumption and little bit of ms office ppts and Excel sheets preparation. Any suggestions please.

At this point in time, I'll just tell you to get something else or wait for the updated version (if ASUS is making it) 4GB RAM is just unusable on Windows

Opening task manager puts almost any computer at a high CPU usage briefly, even on my core I9 11950H.

@@vivek_v not on my I9 12900k, I returned the tablet after I tried it for programming on the go but it didn't perform to my needs, I was waiting for the Microsoft event to see the new line up devices and was disappointed to see that there was no a new Surface go :( I was hoping like a i5 🤣 and it ended up on the big surface pro...
