NZ here. The IS200 is much rarer than the Altezza. I personally own a really clean, low KM 1999 Altezza and it only cost me $3700 NZD (About $2500-ish USD). I was looking for an Altezza and the market is pretty saturated. IS200s on the other hand? Non-existant.

Amir Abdullah I have a car seat in mine for my 5 year old. It should fit one without issue on the other side. it has the latch points on both sides. Get a car seat protector so you don’t ruin your leather. Lusso is the brand I’ve been using for one year now definitely recommend it.

I’m at 120k on the stock motor but the 2JZ is hailed as indestructible.

260,850 on mine with cold air intake and exhaust. Change the oil with mobile 1 every 3-5k change ur timing belt and valve cover gaskets every 90-100k and ur good

STBYE STI Yeah, my IS200 with the 1G-FE inline 6 is nearly as raspy as this one, I really don't like it. The raspyness all comes down to the header. I'm planning to get a custom equal length exhaust manifold fabricated for €1200, that should make it sound godly and smooth. :-)

I think the header and cold air intake can also make a difference I have the SRP exhaust which is basically 3in straight pipe on my car with original intake and header and it sounds AMAZING look up SRP Exhaust IS300 on KZfaq. Give me some feedback on what you think

Personally, I'd start with suspension upgrades like lowering springs or coilovers, just depends on what you like. Exhaust and wheels are good too!

This video is old now btw... And I'm not usually one to respond to dumb comments, but a full exhaust from headers back isn't really "rice". As well as intake and other supporting mods like a radiator, coilovers, wheels, etc. Also did you even watch the video to see I swapped in a newer engine and painted the engine bay? I'm sorry if you drive something WAYYYY cooler and your feelings were hurt by watching my video. This video was simply to update people on the progress of the car. Absolute Trash sorry to say but headers and straight pipe is ricer supporting mods are intake. When I was 18 and could afford real mods I did what he did to my car and it gave it no extra power at all. My exhaust was loud as shit like this car and it’s ricer to the max I know coz I did the same thing... I normal don’t hate on people’s car it not my thing... but this car at that point isn’t worth videoing, like I said I did the kinda mods when I couldn’t afford real mods and I wouldn’t of put up a video about mods on it as realistically the mods did nothing for the car sept made it sound stupid and added no power.

We're young too and just like you explained in your response you mess around and do fun mods you can afford, so idk why you would hate on something when you did the same shit, pretty hypocritical. I plan on 1jz vvti swapping my new IS300 someday, as well as doing complete suspension upgrades. If I straight pipe my 1jz IS300 would you still call my car rice? Lol probably not because it will actually make more power then right? You act like making huge power numbers is all that matters. Absolute Trash hey mate sorry for clearly upsetting you, I’ll try to help you instead of being an ass... not my intent.... yeah I did the same thing as on IS and now I look back I feel stupid for ricing my car and that all I’m trying to hit on with this IS. I have a GS300 and it had a 2jzge I had a muffler delete done on the exhaust sounds better. If you put a resonator on it it would sound better. Now for the 1jz swap, I’d do a 2jzgte swap, they make more torque, the 1jz does rev higher but unless you have big cams witch aren’t need for good power there isn’t really a point to get a 1jz... and as for that straight pipe on that, no straight pipe won’t make more power. On my 2jzgte I have now I have a custom stainless steel 3inch with resonators at the end of the exhaust and it makes more power with this set up the the straight pipe, it’s made to be free flowing and suited perfectly for the set up. Yeah sorry about getting under your skin, your right I could have worded it better to be constructive instead of being a hater... are you on club Lexus forum? There is some good second hand parts on the EG bigger injectors fuel rails and other parts that would be in a young guys affordability to improve power.

It's okay man I'm glad you're being more constructive now. I'm not into full on rage fights on the internet anyways lol. Your points on 2jzgte's are all good ones, I just have a personal preference with running a 1jz vvi because it comes with a single turbo factory and overall will be cheaper to swap into the IS300. Youd have to deal with a lot of quirks and spending more money to get a 2jzgte to work (ironically) because those twin turbos factory can have loads of problems. Both 1jz and 2jz have same exact motor mounts and will bolt up to my tranny/bellhousing as you know. Obviously if you want more power in the long run with more mods the 2jz is king, but I'm more into having a stock reliable engine and I want to get into drifting and other parts are gonna cost money like suspension so I want to budget the money there as well. I have actually talked to many guys who run 1jz's in their IS300's and they have had great success and I've done a lot of research of course. All in all, 2jz is the best engine ever built, but for drifting and my budget the 1jz will work better. Hopefully you stick around and can see that happen on video some day!
