Fig Bar Recipe
2 cups oats
2 cups raw nuts (i used half almonds half pecans)
10 medjool dates
2.5 cups dried figs
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
.5 tsp salt
toast oats and nuts on parchment paper in an oven for 15 minutes at 350
let cool, then blend in a food processor until it turns into a flour
add dates one at a time until it resembles a nice dough
pour dough onto parchment paper and press into a square. Cut the square in half
put dried figs and half cup hot water into a blender along with the cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Blend into a paste
put the paste on top of half the dough, add the other half of the dough ontop of the fig paste to create a "sandwich"
put into fridge for 2 hours to set
