In this video, Danielle Matias, PA-C discusses the diagnosis of chronic ischiogluteal bursitis and hamstring tendinopathy or tendinosis. In our clinic, we use Prolotherapy or PRP Prolotherapy when other conservative methods have not resolved the issue. Any type of chronic bursitis or tendinopathy may have an underlying joint instability as well that may need to be addressed. Correctly identifying the degenerating or injured structures is key to developing an effective treatment plan for this type of chronic pain.
If you would like to possibly be seen in our center for your condition and would like to discuss your case with our team, reach out to us directly at info@caringmedical.com or through our site: www.caringmedical.com/proloth... or call us at 239-308-4773.
*We cannot give online medical advice or referrals. Thank you for understanding.

Thanks for watching. Wish you all the best in health!
*DISCLAIMER: As with any medical treatment, no guarantees or claims of cures are made as to the extent of the response to treatment that every person experiences. Every therapy/treatment has patients who experience varying levels of success and failure. Results may not be the same from patient to patient, even with a similar diagnosis, as the body’s internal status is unique to each individual.

This condition used to be called weavers' butt. Weavers got it from sitting on a hard bench and pushing treadles to change the position of the warp strings. A good modern name would be bicyclers' butt, caused by sitting on a hard saddle and pushing the peddles.

@@disha2669 Mine flared up after doing a lot painting and labor while sitting on a hard metal service. I ended up with these lumpy gland things. Very painful I know. So what helped was the pillow with the two cut out for both ischial bursitis which will let blood flow return to the parts so they can heal. I was told they are so hard to heal because of lack of blood flow to the bursitis. So every night try to massage around the area and bring blow flow to the area. Also try to focus awareness to the location. Tl:Dr ischial bursitis pillow, stay off the bursitis as much as you can, and massage the area every night to bring blow flow back to the swollen area.

I had proximal hamstring avulsion repair surgery in January and I have been experiencing symptoms of this for over two weeks. It is extremely painful. My recovery was going so well too . My repaired hamstring is working great but my pain is located more in my pelvic floor. Sitting is SO painful. Steroids aren't working. Getting an MRI later this week. Hopefully I will get some answers.

If it isn't better soon, then Plasma replacement therapy. I am not a candidate for surgery.

how do you determine those things talked about in this video (thickening of the hamstring, bursitis, etc)? I saw 7 medical pros: 1 neurologist, 4 orthopedic drs, 3 chiropractors about this from 1998-2005, until I just decided to give up cycling because I was in too much discomfort by mile 10 that I was having to get off the bike and let the group leave me behind. I had an MRI and x-rays, but everyone said they couldn't determine soft tissue injuries from that.

After getting the injections how long does it take for an athlete to return to play ?
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy
@CaringmedicalProlotherapy 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Shelby, Good question. It depends on the patient. In most cases, athletes are able to continue some level of modified training through the treatment series, increasing in intensity as the injured area repairs. Most of the time, we treat high-level athletes in their off season. But again, patients are all unique. There are a few days after each treatment that a patient is to refrain from exercise and then we instruct them on how to return to training based on the injury being treated.

It seriously hurts in this area. I run about 9 miles every morning. I was finishing up running one morning, I felt a sharp pain in this area. after I had to suddenly stopped for 7 days after a 30 day streak. By the 7th day the pain was all gone. I succeeded on my first attempt back after a week (6miles) that’s all I was able to run, As the run progressed, the pain grew more, I was in terrible, unbearable pain. it gets too tight. I can't loosen it. My left leg seemed to get shorter with each stride. I can kind of feel me hobbling around the track, my engine had even more power but I was forced to stop It's not so much the pain thing, but the limited movement in my leg

Hi ACERLuck7- Yes, joint instability can cause popping snapping sensations when moving the joint, and so we look at tendons and ligaments to see why they are allowing the joint to snap instead of allowing the bones to glide smoothly. Sorry to hear about your pain. Hope you can get to the bottom of your problem soon.

Can anyone tell me what can cause painful cramps or spasms that occur on the INSIDE of the thigh? I can handle cramps in the back of my thighs or a charlie horse, but, whatever this is on the INSIDE of the thigh is worse than child labour! The only thing that helps me is trying to stretch the area, and I apply heat from my heating pad, which I always have close by, The heat with the stretching helps. Is this the hamstring? I thought the hamstring was at the BACK of the thigh, not on the INSIDE of the thigh.

Could be a muscle imbalance. I recently started doing squats and my inner thigs and quads started cramping up from just doing 50lb squats. Therapist said my glutes are very weak, so my quads and nearby muscles take on the load until it just gives up. Could be idk lol
