I spoke to Western University London Ontario Canada when they despicably put two Hijabi women committing an indecent act, and when I professed my absolute disdain and displeasure it was a Muslim brother on the other side defending the actions so clearly against our deen, Canada is on the down and out, we need to stay firm and reject any attempts to portray abhorrent sins that corrupt the soul as progressive or out of "Love", subhanallah.

As our CORE code should be to get the pleasure of our Creator, just like in an abusive marriage we identify our struggle as "domestic violence" but our label isnt the "abused" its the SURVIVOR OF DV; or when we sin we dont carry the label of the "sinner" we claim to be REPENTERS and the same with this same-sex attraction struggle ...its great that we have identified it and own to the struggle but its returning to our core belief of pleasing the CREATOR that makes us SURVIVORS from it, not identifiers of it. Christian belief says that we are all sinners and we must identify as that and accept that label but in Islam, I feel that we are told that the original sin which Adam and Eve allowed themselves to follow the whispering of Saten lead them out of paradise hence we are placed upon the EARTH to struggle with all types of temptation and whosoever acknowledges their Core seeking the pleasure of the One Creator Allah then he/she has earned or returned to Paradise. We are repenters of sin and survivors because in overcoming any type of struggle there is a form of triumph at the end which leads the human to be empowered therefore by abstaining and not submitting to desires that are unpleasing to Allah we are elevated in the eyes of our CREATOR our submission is only to Allah/God alone. Alhamdulillah Omar, I've always tried hard to listen to Islamic lectures to improve myself and because i really love and value Islam. When I came across your videos and lectures about 4 years ago i couldn't stop listening. I believe that Allah has gifted different people with different things. But i have never come across any scholar that really makes me feel so spiritually uplifted with Allah's permission. When this LGBT scandal started I just ignored it because I thought that people always try to degrade good people, especially when they are islamic scholars. Only recently i was convinced to look at the videos and to become aware that some things that happened goes against the basic fundamentals of Islam. I prayed to Allah that you would come out and speak confidently about how Islam cannot change for things like lgbt. And about the basic fundamentals of Islam. I prayed to Allah that he Allows you to make it clear to everyone that you do not stand with such courses or anything that goes against the fundamentals of Islam. Excellent conversation and very relevant! Agree with the Sheikh from CA that these types of conversations need to start way ahead before they reach a critical juncture like today. I am not sure when our masjid uncle communities will step out of their cultures to embrace the fact that they don’t live in their countries anymore. Allah knows us better than we know ourselves. I was reading Surah Nahl last night and came across ayah 90 which talks about enjoining justice and good behavior and follows it with forbidding shameful acts, evil deeds and oppression. The Quran is exemplary in knowing exactly how the human mind thinks. Allah’s words never seize to amaze me! May Allah swt help and guide our brothers and sisters who are struggling to overcome their sexual gratification challenges. It is a very tough test for them.

Prior to this webinar, I find Yaqeen Institute’s stance on the LGBT ideology to be ambivalent, at best. This talk, however, is pretty good. On our part we need to ensure the webinar is followed by ACTIONS, not juz words. May Allah azzawajal Send His Taufiq to Yaqeen to be true pillars in Showing the way towards Haq and be the Beacon to Guide Muslims in America and beyond.

It is an excellent step in the right direction to address this unmatched challenge in our modern time remembering: 1-Islam is the last corner stone to stand firm against this issue otherwise all the humanity will face a serious consequence and punishment from Allah SWT and we Muslims will be the first one if we don’t hold our religion right and firmly whatever the challenges are. 2-we need to establish an urgent department in our Muslim institutions and universities to deal with this issue as well as many other issues such as cloning and others and to open the door for all to share in this project without exclusion of anybody whatsoever. 3-this issue has to be addressed at political level, individual and community levels, at educational system level, and at all levels establishing health care institutions to treat people from this issue with proper religious counseling 4-the message to Muslim community from all imams has to be clear, steady and one message that matches with their actions as imams and our religious teachings so it can resonate well with Muslims especially our Muslim youth. 5- once we adhere to our faith and our Islamic orders regardless of any dangerous consequences that maybe we face, Allah SWT will help and all people who share with us the same values will gather behind and with us to counteract this insane movement in every where . 6- just for clarification for what Lut said to his people in the Quran: إنكم لتاتون الرجال شهوه من دون النساء It isn’t; you desire men instead of women but you come to engage with men desirely instead of women( desire and action both together) JAK all

This made me think about marriage. The respectable sheikh in the usuli institute had some ideias on it but no fiqh. The main point is like emotional support, or the whole support one gets in a household environment. Made me wonder if somekind of affection like kissing cuddling etc... should be considered grave or light. This is really an issue of our times and we are the lighthouse. Stay blessed.

my 3rd grade son was read a book about Harvey milk in his school which I moved my sons to bc it was out of the city which has violent activities, after the woman read these 8-9 year olds this book she proceeded to tell them its okay to be gay. They dont even know what sex is, or what gay means, my son said he "didnt remember" what else she said but im sure she said a lot more then that. im fuming, dont know what to do, and very sad.

I have a small query. Is it ok if I don't say LGBTQ is wrong/forbidden. And instead say, in Islam, it is wrong and forbidden. Whether one is a Muslim or not, the truth does not change so when I put Religion first like that instead of speaking a general truth, I feel like I'm doing something wrong and not acknowledging something as it is.

A certain word has been constantly resonating with me lately regarding everything I am seeing in the world today, from oppression, persecution and degradation of a cross section of the Ummah, LGBTQ and other non-conforming social issues, to the constant attack on the very essence of this most beautiful Deen... "THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAIL"... This has never rung more true to me than at this moment! Islam is absolute truth, so much so that the shaytan is fighting furiously through his minions (mankind & jinn alike) to keep this truth from growing farther than it already has and still is... Understanding this helps me be a lot more tolerant with the people, not that we should stand for oppression in any form! I am reminded in this moment of Q2v113: The Jews say "the Christians have nothing true to stand on", and the Christians say "the Jews have nothing true to stand on", even though they read from the same scriptures" (translation of the meaning)..... Alhamdulillah these local scholars/professors addressed the need of stating the Islamic position on alternative sexual lifestyles. This is a short overview of the talk. Brother Omar Suleiman stated 10 rulings/Hukum in islam concerning sex and sexuality. His statement should also be used to refute the deviant behavior of so called concerned muslims who try to distort Brother Suleiman’s position on the LGBQT. He makes it clear that it is Haraam and he does not support this movement. Brother Ubaydallah Evans presented the Hadith which states this religion started out as strange and in the latter days it will return as being considered strange. He also said as an indigenous muslim convert that when he was a Christian he did not believe he had to compromise his position on Homosexuality so he definitely didn’t have to compromise as a Muslim, Brother Mustafa Umar reminded us that the muslim leadership has to be ahead of the storms that were are experiencing in our society by speaking on the rain clouds that have not arrived above us as of yet. He stated he addressed the LGBTQ issues over 10 years ago. He presents the clear proofs from the Quran that the narration of Prophet Lut was clearly saying Homosexual activity is Forbidden/Haraam. He also referenced a podcast to help people that are struggling with these sexual urges A Way Beyond the Rainbow (buzzsprout.com) Sister Sarah Sultan emphasized that as muslims we need to accept the fact that we are strangers in this society and have to be comfortable with holding on to the standards that Allah has prescribed. She reminded that Allah has said that we must enter into Islam whole heartly and Do not follow the footsteps of the shaytan.

I saw many videos bashing Yaqueen and Omar Suleiman too which made me question my acquisition of knowledge. I‘ve learned so much from this institute so I couldn’t fully believe what they said. Glady, you addressed the topic☺️

Jazakoum lahou khayran for addressing such a topic that a lot of our islamic leaders avoid, but we as young muslims young parents and as representatives of Islam in the west, we were in desperate need of lights to be shaded over such a sensitive world subject, in order to stay firm and act upon our convictions but still not be dehumanising the ones struggling or following their blind desires. May Allah forgive us if we ever confused between hatred towards the sin and the ones who struggling with it that are in desperate need of guidance, if we shot the doors of Rahma in their faces as muslims in what direction will they head??! The story of that lesbian girl who converted to Islam and give it all up for Allah swt completely shifted the I was seeing the subject in term of individuals and how to deal with them and never giving up on someone as long as Allah swt has the doors of Tawbah and repentance open for everybody and anybody. One sentence of sister Sarah really made me cry, we do not identify ourselves according to our struggles but rather trough our survival trough them, a sinner struggling with his sin is not called a sinner but a repenter ❤️ Bottom line being uncompromising but compassionate, the second part was completely out of my sight !

Saying Yaqeen institute sellout Islam, don’t watch their content or Imam Omar participated in a pagan ritual. Like cmon Imam Omar even said he did know pouring water on the ground was a pagan ritual. I dont even know that as well. What hurts me even more people commenting in agreeing without hearing his side. Even though a video by towards eternity. He cleared the scandal by saying. “What is Haram is Haram and I cannot say what Haram is permissible”. He went to that event at the boarder of America and Mexico to voice out his protest against keeping childrens of immigrants in a cage. Which is very inhumane. I found that only Muhammad Hijab said we shouldn’t tear another muslim or islamic institutions down because that will make the enemy of islam happy. I think the ability to hear to both side is important as well and for Yaqeen institute to clear this scandal out. khalas. I do believe the more piety a person has towards Allah. Allah will test the person more and that includes fitnah. And we know everyone including me will get our fitnah moment. Those who are sharing these "concerns"/accusations based on false or patchy information are not only going agains the etiquette of interaction between fellow beings but are also falling into the trap of backbiting, which definetely will be a major issue on the day of judgment for them.
