This is Dolly's signature song.. her favorite.. true story. and if you don't love Dolly .. I don't want to know you.. She's just so pure, loving and beautiful inside and out.. I'm from America and she's our National Treasure.

My great grandmother would save scraps of clothes and make blanks for each child, grandchild and great grandchild when they graduated highschool. I remember sleeping under my mother's when I was a kid, and I was the last to get one before my grandmother died at 99. My mom now does the same thing for everyone. This song always reminds me of that tradition.

Such a wonderful song. You can actually see her coat of many colors in a museum. Dolly was one of 12 kids in her family and was poor. She’s so wonderful. Loved your reaction and it was nice to hear of your great grandmother too. Keep reacting!

The original coat is long gone. Neither Dolly nor her mother knew for certain what happened to it. They assumed it was probably passed down till it wore out, or taken apart & repurposed. After the success of the song, Dolly's mother made a "near duplicate" (to the best of her memory), which is on display at Dollywood (along with a fancier version from the movie).

The original coat is long gone. Neither Dolly nor her mother knew what happened to it. They assumed it was passed down till it wore out, or taken apart & repurposed. After the success of the song, Dolly’s mother made her a “near duplicate” (to the best of her memory), which is the one on display in her museum at Dollywood (along with a fancier version from the movie). Dolly says she has a school picture in the original, but indicates you can only see the shoulder area. I imagine this is the picture used to create the original Coat of Many Colors album cover.

We grew up pretty well off but mom still made us homemade dresses, sweaters, woolsocks, etc they meant so much to me and my sisters!! Yup, got teased at times too

Songs By Dolly I personally love is It's All Wrong, But it's all right Heartbreaker Two Doors Down Love Is like A Butterfly The Bargain Store Apple Jack The Seeker Here you come again Unlikely Angel 9 to 5 Me and little andy Tear Jerker Unlikely Angel Down From Dover sad song tear jerker Mule Skinner Blues not her song but her version is good and she yodels in it. I've always loved this song it's my favorite Dolly Parton song and she has so many. She has written over 3,000 songs. I'm pretty sure you know the song I will always Love you Whitney Houston sings.call Dolly Parton wrote and saying that in the 70s and when Houston covered it in the 90s. You should react to that one sometime. Also "Me and Little Andy"is it beautiful sad brilliant song I think you'll love it you should react to that. And the song He's alive you should react to the video from the CMT awards it's beautifully written. It's about Jesus resurrection. I really love your videos.
