Isle of Man Ep 24 A fond farewell

Our final full day on the Isle of Man concludes with a tour of Meayll Stone Circle and ice cream and pizza in sunny Port Erin.
We spend a memorable last night on the island with a spectacular sunset view.
We just have time to visit the Manx Museum in Douglas before catching our ferry back to Liverpool and take a look back at some highlights from our wonderful Isle of Man adventure.

This series from the Isle of Man (Like all your previous series) was really wonderful. You really both deserve an award from the Isle of Man Tourist Board for showcasing the island so well. You have shown that there is a lot more to the island then a person might think. Well Done.

I am absolutely bereft at the thought that I won't have more Isle of Man episodes to look forward to. I think you both did an absolutely outstanding job showcasing the many fine attributes of this magical place - and those views! Stunning work, Carol and Ken! You still left a little bit more to be discovered so maybe a return trip will be in your future plans. Last time I left the Island was in 1960, when it was THE holiday island. So much has changed. You were lucky that you didnt encounter the famous " short sea" waves which made even hardened seamen seasick. Sometimes on the way there, the first couple of days were used for convalessence...and NO kippers. Thanks for the memories....

Yes you must visit , we take a car and a tent to The I o M on the Ferry from Heysham , it’s best not to come in the high season though.

I have really enjoyed this series , I will miss my fix of watching this series. I first went to the Island age 6 and I have gone back many times , my daughter and brother live on the Island now. You have done a great job at showing this lovely Island at its best. The Isle of Man Tourist board should be thankfully for the great job you have done. I have started to watch your series in Wales and I have watched half of your Ireland series as well as I need my Ken and Carol fix :-) thank you for bring us such a enjoyable journey to the Island

Where do we go now, this has been one of the best videos ever made of the Isle of Man. So relaxing and informative. I have lived on the island for 65 out of 66 years and as such thought I knew most of the island. NO I have NOT I leant so much of the island watching these episodes. One fact the House which once was owned by Nigel Mansell made the headlines round the world as when he was building it , he wanted some privacy so he imported loads of soil and built his own hill to give him some privacy. he though didnt have Planning so he was made to take it down. He was also a Special Police Officer on the island. Looking forward to your next episode and love to see you make another of the island. regards John

As you drop down the hill from Ballaman, Mansells old house, you pass his first house Mull View. It’s been a really good vlog and we have enjoyed seeing places we went to in the 13 years I lived on the island. Looking forward to your next trip away.

I was surprised you found our favourite wild camping spot, Meayll Hill is a very special place, sun rises and sun sets are something else. The last bit of the climb is the hairiest!!!! The hard standing you parked up on is known as the Officers Hut.

Hi Chris. You can’t beat a good binge watch and we like doing the same on our favourite channels. We never understand why some tubers don’t watch youtube 😱 We felt very welcome and would recommend your lovely island to everyone 😁👍

Thank you, Thank you,Thank you. What a treat this has been. It was in the late 70s I was last there but watching these videos brought back a lot of memories of times past. Fairy Bridge, Sulby Glen, The TT race track. I’ve really enjoyed the trip.

Amazing series of videos so entertaining and fun to watch. Great camera shots, so full of information . The IOM tourists board should give you free ferry tickets to return one day. Thank you both for many hours of videos to enjoy.

Great series! The building at Blue point is an old coastguard lookout, the were a couple. The tall one at Jurby was for a firing range. The former buildings at the point of ayre were for extracting brine from underground.
