In this 75+ year old conflict you have many acts of violence most people would consider immoral coming from both sides... it's just fucked. I really urge people that look on this situation from afar to learn the history, how things came to be this way... before they 'take sides'. Wikipedia actually is pretty unbiased so just go read about the history of Israel or Palestine (however you choose to call it) and the conflict, form your own opinions. Turkey has the 2nd Largest and 2nd most powerful military in NATO behind the U.S. If Turkey declares war, Iran will definitely follow, and most likely Egypt too. Israel is banking on our carrier battle groups being a big enough deterrent against Turkey or Iran getting involved. I fear they may be mistaken.

Don't you contradict yourself a little when you say that Hamas uses human shields - but then when babies are implicated it's suddenly just props? Wouldn't you think the opposite: that it is precisely because Hamas uses human shields, babies are most likely genuinely affected by attacks, too? If not, then do the Palestinians just quickly whip out one of these realistic baby dolls and then dust some concrete rubble on it and be like "ah look here they also almost killed a baby!" for the camera? Do you really think that? Or, perhaps, could you possibly imagine that repeatedly firing rockets at the most densely populated area in the world (=Gaza) - even when targeting military infrastructure - will inevitably cause some degree of collateral damage that in all reasonable likelihood will also include a few babies - especially when considering that Hamas does not hesitate to use human shields. I am sorry if I offend you, I just find it incredibly ridiculous to assume that that baby we saw on screen is "a prop" as though Palestinians always keep some concrete dusted emergency baby around - which the journalists in Gaza of course haven't ever noticed after years of reporting the same story.
