I never heard a voice so absolutely heavenly!!! We truely lost out when Izzy passed, but I will never stop listening to him I feel im closer to heaven when I hear his beautiful voice. He us an outrageous artist and his persona was so gentle and kind. I never met Izzy but I can just feel his beauty!!! GOD BLESS YOU IZZY, I CAN NOT WAIT TO MEET YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE. LOVE 💘 ALWAYS!!!!!!!

I was absolutely blessed to see him in Hilo, mid 70s~ he was with the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau and sharing the stage with his older braddah Skippie~ who died not long after. Those two were one TON of true Hawai'ian=love/fun/ALOHA. I was lucky enough to be in that audience...with the man who became my husband. All these years later, we both still crave to listen to Braddah Iz...frequently! We played his music on New Year's Eve, just the 2 of us dancing the New Year in, while fireworks were going off all around, even out here in the middle of a Puna jungle! We held each other & swayed to the Heaven sent music of paradise~ especially Braddah Iz! Still with us now, this year of our Lord, 2022. Hau'oli Makahiki Hou!! This is what he had to say about losing the ones who mattered most to him, but don't bother with captions. It's a major fail for this clip of him speaking. "Go plant one Koa tree...one BIG buggah ~ right in the middle of Kapiolani Park where dey play sokkah" hehehe=is NOT "a foreign language". I understood everything he said...and he never fails to deliver that bittersweet combo of nostalgia= tears that are 1/2 sad, but 3/4 happy! That's the mathematics of Aloha, lol. This man changed my life with his incredible music. My four visits to Hawaii, Oahu,Maui,were the best days of my 74 years on this 🌎. Kailua was like Heaven on earth. Thank you God for those days I shared with. Incredible friend. Every song floods me with those beautiful memories !! THANK YOU IZZY. Hope to meet you in Heaven some day. I didn't know much about this man until Iam Tongi sang some of his songs and some of his fans who commented on Iam's American Idol performance mentioned the likeness of the two in certain ways. So, I thought to check IZ out and boy oh boy, I have not stopped crying. True legends never dies they are alive in our hearts and memories. Today as I listened to his bleeding and yearning love for his people my tears just won't stop. 😭 His message was of Love peace and joy. What a humble beautiful soul. I don't know you but your songs have truly touched my heart and I fell like I have known you before from way beyond the rainbows.

I am mexican and I enjoy so much his music... His voice is Sooo soothing and Beautiful... I was introduced to his music when i worked in a Hawaiian Giftshop in 2005.. We sold his music cds... I loved listening to it!!!! It wasn't until then that I heard of his death...☹️☹️☹️ Such a great Talent he was... Gone Too Soon!!! RIP Izzy 😞😞😞😞

I lived on O'ahu, in Makakilo, when Iz passed away. I was actually in North Carolina at the bedside of my mother as she lie dying. The day they spread Bruddah Iz's ashes is the same day my mother passed away. When I returned to the Island I had no idea of what had happened because I had been away for awhile. I was very sad to learn the news of Bruddah Iz's passing. I loved hearing and watching him! And still do to this day. I listen to him almost daily, still. I will always have this connection to him. Moe i ka maluhia!! Love always!!!

I believe he was here for so many wo may never know he was to be our BEST BETTER ANGEL. PTSD sufferers, this horrible virus of 2020 he came to us who cried about lost and sick loved ones. My nurse daughter learned to play a ukulele she saw one in a music store in z2020 and wanted it but did not know why. I believe in my heart it was IZ coming to her because she got COVID-19and is a snowy 100 miles from us, her parents. She plays bass guitar, flute, saxophone, sang in high school And college. I order food and all she wanted along with a nurse who helped her and sent her IZ. He was all I had to help me sleep and know she would be ok. 27 and BACK AT WORK HELPING OTHERS even though the ugly politicians jumped the line and took her medical groups’ vaccines. She suffered but made it. I think IZ MADE IT SO! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I met Iz 1984 Kaui. Most endearing person. Smartman,we had a deep caring for each other, even in the briefest moment of time. His kind words, insight were 100%. Much later,life upside down, as time to contemplate his words and meanings helped carry thoughts through 2 the other side of sanity. Sometimes we do everything right BUT. . . And the kindness, spiritual love extended carries an unknown through the present and future troubles. We never no who we are helping. Or who is helping us! Do not give up your loving kindnesses. I’ve been so inspired by this man since I first heard him. I’ve never had so much passion to meet a man that wasn’t a father or grandfather of mine, which I met later in life. My heart broke for someone I never knew and felt so much love for his music an inspiration, and all that thanks goes out to his family an friends that made him so. RIP IZ ❤️ and bless all those who loved him !!! I can’t say enough of how I felt about this man of such Great statue. He has made me feel, an think a better way every time I hear his music.
