Israel’s destruction of Hamas is “absolutely essential”, says former US army vice chief of staff General Jack Keane.
Mr Keane joined Sky News host Andrew Bolt to discuss Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza.
“I certainly underscore Israel’s determination to continue their military operation in Rafah after they move many of their civilians to a safe enclave,” Mr Keane said.
“The destruction of Hamas as much as they possibly can do is absolutely essential.
“That is where the leaders are.”

Rafah must have some strategic tunnels and other sub-terraneum infrastructure because of it's location in southern Gaza,which would inter-face with Egypt. Also because possibly strategic Hamas weapons would have transfered there from northern Gaza.
