Thank you Paul. It's given me the confidence to replace my cover gasket & tube seals on a 2008 Pug, 1.6 Turbo petrol. Oil's leaking into the sparkplug chambers and creating havoc with starting when the engine's cold. Stumble, stumble, engine almost dies then cuts out. Restart, then rev, rev and it comes right and off I go. Driving me mad!

I'm having the same issues. Was the problem solved after changing the gasket?

Another question: didn't you have trouble accessing to the screw on the right, where there is a box containing cables ? I can't find a way to slide this black box on the right in order to access the screw.

Sorry not sure what black box you are referring to, send me a pic to bartram.paul@googlemail.com and I'll see if I can work it out for you.

Got your image, I didn't need to remove that bolt to get the rocker cover off, so I don't know, sorry

@@myobsessions9508 Alright, it seems I'm unlucky. Thanks a lot again! 😉

@@myobsessions9508 I found a way. To remove this clutter, you have to lift it up with a screwdriver.

Hi is that the 1.6 16v THP engine? If so what torque setting did you tighten the bolts to?
@myobsessions9508 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I didn't have a Torque wrench at the time, so used my best guess, that caused a minor oil leak, so suggest you find that out.

Please post the Torque wrench settings

Thanks for the video. Did you put silicon paste to seal the cover ?

No, modern gaskets hold themselves in place pretty well so it's not required and can even melt the new gasket.
