The guy in the red jersey at 9:00 might be the biggest clown I’ve ever seen on here. Jumps on a guys back and then goes nuts about the guy “stopping in front of him.” I’m glad this was filmed so the whole world can see what a clown that guy is.

Totally. He committed 2 red card offences. Pushed the ref, then spat and probably could have got a 3rd for his continued aggression. To lose it to that extent means he shouldn't be playing sports were decisions can sometimes go against you.

some indoor leagues stop scheduling referees if they give out reds, don't want to anger paying customers, also any referee not wearing an Ontario soccer badge is doing an unsanctioned league

Whenever I referee and somebody tells me they’re just shoulder to shoulder, I always tell them that’s when you’re next to each other jostling for position, it’s not shoulders to shoulder when you come from a perpendicular angle that’s just called a body check. Always a foul.

7:40 "you lost control of the game ref' is the stupidest thing a spectator can say. The players are at fault for doing bad tackles. The players are at fault for losing their cool or starting fights. Fights don't start because the ref doesn't give fouls. Fights start because lots of players are dirty pieces of shit

not really. The one at 1:42 the defender comes in both feet off the ground and makes contact studs up at knee height. If the referee took control the player wouldn't have to freak out. That is a potential leg breaker or knee destroyer. Ref needs to at least give a yellow and a firm warning but could easily be red by letter of the law. 2nd one he gets his foot stood on from behind and he is already on tilt and he knows the ref has no interest in controlling the match. That one is not a red maybe a yellow, definite foul. When dangerous fouls that warrant a card are ignored by the ref tension rises and people loose their cool. If the ref calls the first one and gives a red and sets the tone the player would calm himself.

These indoor facilities the referees are often not paid well and they do 3+ games a night several nights a week. That means you don't get the best ones and the ones you do get are tired and caring less with every game they do.

yes, this is in Ontario Canada. I've played for years in these leagues. Often it is like this sadly. Very weak referees and an ice hockey culture.

@@neilwhitaker6284 most of these appear to be unsanctioned leagues so it's not like they are getting trained referees and I'm sure some of these players aren't allowed in Ontario Soccer sanctioned leagues anymore

@@isaacbokma427 I'm not sure what makes you say that? I'm not sure about some of the indoor ones perhaps they are dodgy. I only played in OSA sanctioned leagues and most of the refs were terrible and matches could get out of control quickly. A few good strong refs in there too which would make a huge difference.

@@neilwhitaker6284 I'm basing my comment on what is in the videos and what I know about certain leagues, I can't speak to anything you've played in. A majority of leagues are considered rec/house so they are going to get rec/house level officials. We also have a shortage of officials which means a smaller talent pool (however talented you think that pool is).
