Again I'm going to say check belt alignment on the crankshaft multi groove pulley, from under the vehicle

...and that's on a NEW alternator? The alternator come complete with vacuum pump installed already , and the belts have been tenssioned , I assume. I've never came across this in any vehicle I had. Any noises from the alternator, before it locks up and belts start slipping? If it was a used old used alternator I'd suspect the front bearing, on a new alternator, when tensioning the belts , if not done in the right spot/way , it's possible to brake the housing due to the many cooling slots , weakening the housing. That's the things I'd be looking at first, there is also the possibility that the particular alternator you were sold is faulty. Hope that helps.

@@vidtech2630 Yes it has happened on two new (remanufactured) alternators. Its almost like the vacuum pump is hydro locking or something. I am going to tear into the pump this afternoon and see if i can make any sense of what might be going on. On the second alternator we even let the oil line Prime before installing the belt. Strange.

@@user-mu1oi6yk9v now that you say it's the second alternator, that is very strange indeed. If alternator turns feely by hand when not connected by belts , that is a bit of a conundrum. Please share your findings

One more thing I can think of, is perhaps double check the belts path in the multi groove crankshaft pulley , making sure they are running square and in the correct grooves on the crankshaft pulley. Best view is from under the vehicle.

Hi , I'm guessing genuine , is way over priced ! The only thing that I can suggest is finding one on line , somewhere at a price you are happy with , and get it posted to you. Another alternative is finding a working used alternator at the wreckers. That's all I can suggest. As I have said in the video , I couldn't find anyone who stocks spares for them , like the brushes or the internal regulator . Hope that helps.

@RyanSpinks-mz4tt Hi , the alternators I purchased could have been re-manufacured , to like new , or they could have been knock off , I'm not sure .Unfortunately, it would take hours to find the related paperwork now . I bought them from COMET BATTERY, in Melbourne, Australia, at very reasonable prices ! If you want to give them a call, ask for Ziggy , for first class service and advice.
