Dude I love your real talk, calling GM and other companies on their shit; many other reviewers arent critical enough, that's why I love this channel. Whenever I buy a new car, I'm going to check to see if you've reviewed it, because I know I wont find this level of honesty elsewhere.

I have a 2020 GMC terrain SLT model with the elevation package. I understand what you’re saying about the hood. However I don’t think it’s that big of a inconvenience because it’s not something that I use even monthly. The last car that I owned I had for a year before I knew how to open the hood. I take my vehicle is to get its regular scheduled services on time. So the mechanics are the ones who have to deal with the hood.

Really great in-depth review. I love the honesty too. I have seen a lot of reviews expression their dislike for the $40k price point, and I agree that's a up there for the vehicle. I'm not too made though because my 2018 Terrain Denali was only priced for $27K and it was still practically new. It barely had any miles, and I overall only paid $18K with trade in value and my down payment.

Not a race car. Gm didn't give up on power. It a thing called epa. That horsepower rating on the car helps it pass emissions

Your not being harsh .. GM hires bean counters to see where they can get the most for less .. This is actually a 28k vehicle not 40k for a label and appearance package

I do agree it not worth 42k but you normally can get 8-9k off. so for 33k its a good deal. if I was going to spend 42 I would go RDX.

I think you focus too much in the bad stuff. I agree with a lot of things you’ve said, but i don’t care to have some places with cheap plastic what the car pulls 252HP! This is one of the fastest compact SUV out there. This is a compact SUV, not a midsize

this is about the fastest you can get in this size unless you go with something like a porche for 70K

Smart Dumb person describes your typical corporate executive that approves those very things. Its why people who get managed rather than manage hate when the manager is an MBA but has no experience. I also tend to think maybe some of the engineers who design cars should go spend some time talking to the mechanics. Side note, I had a 2000 Impala for awhile and it had the self propping hood. And yea its sad some of the dumb things they do because I am kind of a GM guy, I have always driven chevys but they do some interesting dumb things while also doing some brilliant things. a big item is that the Z71 Colorado and Canyon Denali, neither has LEDs in its projectors Overall I will say the Terrain Denali looks sharp as hell though, Especially in black. Also a win for tossing some cat in there.
