This is the ship for people who appreciate slow burn, and realistic romance. Everyone's going the other way yet I'm still here rooting for them. Maybe because what Maeve and Otis had is just the reality of what most relationship looks like? Responsibilities, tricky decisions, bad timing. When they're on screen together I always feel and share the maturity of their character, esp. the way they talk to each other, console each other. Imagine the writers making them together instantly then it would be just like the cliche teenage love story where they would break up and make up again and again. And this is a more mature season. They're all getting older. Otis's family's getting bigger, Maeve's dedicated to bettering her life situation. It's overwhelming and realistic that you'd understand why they ended the season that way. And yes, Otis may have chemistry with Ruby but he has a point, that " I love you " was so fast and he isn't just there yet, i'm glad he was honest with Ruby. There goes the maturity of his character. It took him 3 seasons to love Maeve, we can't conclude an endgame with just a few episodes. I do have high hopes for them in s4, esp. esp with the fact we waited 3 seasons for them to admit their feelings for one another, we're just at the beginning. but for me, it's more like.. wherever and whoever they end up with, I feel like it would be acceptable because they understand each other so well. In three seasons of will they won't they they have built the trust and friendship and I think that's more important than anything else.

It was them from the beginning. It will be them forever. Seeing Otis and Ruby was refreshing but Maeve and Otis are made for each other. Their characters are written to be together. They complement each other so well. I keep coming back to these videos pretty often just to see this season's school trip moment. So many dilema, so much love. It'so interesting to see how the dynamic between them changed over time. At the beggining, he was timid, afraid, insecure, and she was more dominant and confident towards him. As the time passed, he became more aware, credits to her ofcourse, more certain of himself, and she was pulling back as her feelings for him grew. She was so unfamiliar to being in love and loved, so she feared more and more. I really love their story, together they are witty and happy, full of laughs and love and smart talk. I can’t even imagine how anyone can even put Ottis and Ruby together , they had one decent dialogue over the phone when she said the L word but Mottis have like 3 full seasons of tender moments. If the Netflix producers want people to keep rewatching the series , they better end it with Ottis and Maeve .

I just belatedly watched the entire series and I love how perfectly this video captures the incredible dynamic between Maeve and Otis. I was actually shocked to learn that people had turned away from this ship and towards Ruby and Otis. I can understand if people enjoyed that dynamic, but I also feel like if you're truly invested in who these characters are at their core then it's so obvious that Maeve and Otis are meant to be. All of these characters are flawed, but I think they act in very human ways, especially as teenagers still figuring out life. When Maeve comments early in Season 3 that Otis doesn't seem like someone who would want to be in a casual relationship, Otis then almost immediately asks Ruby to be less casual because he actually trusts how Maeve perceives him as a person. When Ruby says that she loves him not long after they start dating, Otis also realizes that in order to be true to himself he has to be honest that he doesn't have the same feelings for her. When Maeve and Otis are stranded in France and the truth is revealed about the voicemail, you can see how much they've been waiting to tell each other how much they care and that their connection matters the most to them. It was never just physical attraction with them; they had deep feelings of love that they didn't know how to process. I hope Season 4 will actually spend some solid time exploring the dynamic between Maeve and Otis in a proper relationship, how it feels to be with someone you really love, and the intimacy that can be created. I would love for Maeve to meet Jean. The most special thing that I appreciate about Maeve and Otis is that they are able to be vulnerable and completely themselves with each other, and that it is reciprocated. That's what makes them each other's "person". That's what makes them a truly great ship.

Their story really makes this show special, it’s what drew me into the show, it’s the subtle moments of a coy smile and the insecurity in Otis that over time you see how their characters grow each other and their walls come down more and more with each other. The depth in the writing is truly special. This is surprisingly one of the more beautiful love stories in a show that I’ve ever seen.

This video was the best. Ive been in a state of bafflement for days because of ppl ignoring them (and what they’ve been through together) just because of a few episodes of Ruby and Otis being cute together. The relationship they had has always been doomed from the start since Otis was STILL clearly in love with Maeve. Motis was trying for other relationships but they just always gravitate back to each other. I hope the story next season would explore them being properly together. They’ve been through so much 💩 that they deserve to be happy now. What’s a few months of separation (w/ Maeve being in America) when they’ve already pined/waited for each other for this long. Im still LOYAL to this ship (and will probably go down with it if the writers simp themselves just because of ppl now wanting Rotis to be together) ❤️ its ALWAYS been them. Spoilers for finale!!!! Beautifully written video description. Especially after the finale, I think that you took the thoughts right out of my mind. Such a accurate phrase of "Right people, wrong time". While many people jumped on board the Otis & Ruby ship, I have never left the Otis & Maeve ship. While the finale felt rushed (like most other finales out there), the most beautiful line in the entire series besides "it's you, it's always you" is when Maeve said in the letter "I'll always carry a part of you around". That to me is the definition of true love. Although I'm sad the ending wasn't a particularly a happy one, however, I think it's left open to our imaginations. I for one would like to imagine that sometime in the near future, Maeve will definitely be back to see her sister. Or Otis in particularly, going to America to be a Psychiatrist. I think it would it would be a nice character arc for her especially, for her to get her happy ending. I also hope we get to see it and not end on it, or both, that would be nice.

Such an amazing video! I'm so so soooo touched by it. And you really did capture their relationship perfectly and I wholeheartedly agree with the caption. I was blown away by the many Otis and Ruby videos in my recommended, like wow, really? I mean, Ruby and Otis were cute, and I can see why people like them, and they could work because they grew a lot too, but, Otis was still in love with Maeve during their relationship. I love that Ruby went out of her shell for Otis, accepting him, going on a double date, and introducing him to her Dad. But like what Jakob said, "people deserve your whole heart" and Otis just can't give that to Ruby. As for Maeve and Isaac, I didn't like them, but that's probably because of what Isaac did, deleting the voicemail. And yes, he did redeem himself for telling her eventually but, it wasn't enough for me to make me like them as a couple. Yeah, he was there for Maeve but, had he not done what he did, I doubt they'd be that close. I can't even begin to say how happy I am when Maeve finally asked Otis about the voicemail. They've always had this wrong timing thing, like nothing always goes their way, so like when they've kissed, it was so satisfying, cause it was everything they both ever wanted. And even though Maeve was with Isaac and knew that she shouldn't be kissing Otis, she couldn't fully pull away either and they just kept going until the bus came. Ruby and Otis was good while it last but it lacks the spark that M and O bring to us. For me and probably a lot of you guys here these 2 are meant for each other. SS3 has a open and bittersweet ending, maybe giving us a hint about Emma Mackey's departure but I sincerely hope that's not true and we'll get to see Maeve again in SS4, coming back from America after 2 or 3 episodes about her life outside of England and forming a relationship with Otis and that will be endgame for them!

I'm here after watching season 4 and I can't believe they did that to Otis..
