In this 'It's Aliiive' stream I was joined by Adam King from Viva La Dirt League ( @VivaLaDirtLeague ) to work together creating a new spell for Baradun for the fifth edition of the game of Dungeons and Dragons.

This sounds like a great spell, but all I can think about is Baraduns wild surge in the Dead Frost that summoned the unicorn who was a guardian that they later met and alluded to him leaving briefly helped the Hour Glass coven to take over.

I think they should keep the spell names. It's understandable to rename one spell if the person who made it is really shitty, but those names are like giving people credit! Removing them is shitty.

You could also add adventure lvls depending on what spell slot is used You need a quick noob meat shield first lvl it can take a hit then dies

On snap, this spell actually opened Pandora’s box. The epic NPC man video “quest Greg” - the versions of the NPC s that aren’t in their home positions cease to exist at the close of the quest. Baradun could actually tell the adventurer to meet him at the temple of kalibor for their reward…and, he would actually be there.

A drawback for failure w the spell, maybe the situation is horrible or against the personal code of the summoned adventurer and he/she swears an oath of vengeance against Baradune when the spell ends

***'Baradun's instant quest'*** or alternately ***Baradun's Questionable Quest*** I think you could use the chest and reward within to change the difficulty of the CHA check to convince the player to accept the quest. More loot, lower the DC. I'd also like to see the 'player' just show up because the game sees Baradun's quest exclamation point and there is a quest available. That way, no summon whatsoever is involved. It would literally be Baradun holding up an exclamation point waiting for a player. And have the time it takes for a player to arrive random, say 1d4 rounds.

"Baradun's exclamation mark" would be more like Bodger's speech. You can activate it once a day, there is a chance for lure adventurers in that day ... and/or a second roll for how long (minutes, up to 1 hour?) they would follow you before skip that "escort quest". ... and if you use advance from them, you have to >reward< them with ...

What if you got some of the fans to create some characters and submit them to Rob to then have Adam roll which one he gets? Could be a competition/pay for/reward. Because he’s rolling for an adventurer I like the idea of the fans getting involved and having just the slightest impact on the story or experience.

I know I’m late to the party, but thoughts: -please make the adventurer constantly try to skip everyone’s dialogue while present -please make the adventurer have loot lust and steal some of their loot before leaving -please have baradun have to pass a persuasion check to have the adventurer collect their reward from someone else (like Fred Orchardson. OR GREG) -i think the adventurer should play extremely poorly, but think they play wonderfully - like constantly break CC or mess up stealth stuff. Healer who thinks he’s a dps, etc. I think the dm should control the adventurer and not baradun. Idk that the adventurer has to be afk. There are more interesting drawbacks XD

Should the CR table instead be a range to make your life easier? 2-4 CR2 5-7 CR3 8 CR4 Or similar? Make it a bit more consistent at their level for the slot

Did Adam purposely limit Warlocks to Fey so Bob cant cast this? Because thats a shame. I could see Ben summon an adventurer just to make it fight Baradun's summon....for the lols.

This is gonna be entertaining for the role play, where baradun, bodger, and greg all attempt to get the adventurer to pick their quest. If baradun fails his save, the adventurer goes collecting greg's sheep instead of fighting

This ruins the theory I've had since the beginning of this campaign. I've been waiting for the reveal that B.O.B. is the adventurer, since he's never shown up in an Epic NPC Man sketch.
