Күн бұрынThe BBX is one of the most anticipated RC vehicles from Tamiya in recent years. It's a ground up design with some heritage sprinkled in, all sewn together to produce a beautiful 2WD buggy!
We are fortunate to get our hands on one of these new rides and, in this video, give you a deep dive into all of the included parts of this car.

@@Competitionx far as I'm concerned it's an instant classic like other vintage cars. I believe it'll be sold out and I'm going to have to make more unless this is considered a limited-production but I hope not wonder what other cars are going to make on that platform.

The skills u need to build these well and keep them running cannot be underestimated Many buy these and cant complete the build. If you don't love tinkering all the time forget it.

While there is some truth to this, we think the industry has done a pretty good job with helping beginners get into this wonderful hobby. Then, of course, there's a ton of KZfaq videos available to help build, drive and maintain these cars. We're not alone :)

Running a 17.5T in ours but heard of the factory going as hot as a 10.5T! We’ll try more motor after we do our initial testing.

Definitely looks like an interesting kit, that's for sure, but as per usual for Tamiya it is a bit pricey!

We actually think $255 is a pretty reasonable price considering it’s a brand new, ground-up kit.

Great kit and awesome parts. I like they put the ball bearings into the kit. All in all a nice car amd yes, I want one. No matter there's no motor or ESC, I'm used to from my Kyoshos. The only backlash I see is the driver figure. They made so good drivers for the comical series and now they threw a 40 year old version into the kit. The vents on the helmet don't improve it.

Lol, but the vents are neeeew! :) A new driver with a whole new car would have been nice but hey, it’s tucked down in the cockpit where no one will see it anyway. The rest looks great though!

Tamiya has been putting ball bearings into their kits for a long time already, except for their entry level stuff, like the barebone DT03 or TT02.

How big is the battery bay on this?

It will fit a full size square LiPo pack with a bit of room to shift it forward and back.

Found it. Touring car size wheels: 1.9", 2mm off-set and 26 mm wide. Sourced from Tamiya USA during Scale Builders Guild live stream building this beautiful 2WD buggy.

They are 50.5mm, or 1.9”.

Wow great detailed look at the parts, seem to be higher quality than what tamiya had before. Actually looks to be on par with the dirtmaster. The option parts are strange, the servo mounts and steering knuckles are not blue anodized? Whats up with tamiya? And please find out what the optional swing shafts are for... they are really strange as already included in the kit? Maybe highter quality more durable and kit ones should be replaced with hot motors?

Yes, gear quality parts over something like the TT-Series cars. Great to see. Thought the same thing about the aluminum parts. But maybe they wanted more bling than blue. And yes, new swing shafts are more durable for hotter motors. What that means we don’t know just yet…
